LIED ABOUT PROVIDING SAFE HEALTH CARE FOR CANCER PATIENT: I alerted the Supervisor beforehand that I have had 2 surgeries for Cancer & was expecting to get radiation in 2 weeks - that whoever comes to my house must be fully vaccinated & wear a mask at all times, because if I get Covid, the Flu, or anything, I will not be able to get radiation and could die. The Supervisor & the aid both show up no mask. The rest of the nightmare is below, but the vital piece is, when I called back and complained, the Supervisor said, "We are no longer required to wear masks, and the last round of vaccines made everyone sick, so I don't require that anymore." I don't care if you don't require it -- BE HONEST UP FRONT THAT YOU REFUSE TO PROVIDE SAFE HOME CARE FOR CANCER PATIENTS. Especially disabled ones who are relying on you to help them remember to be safe.
Because of my neurologic disability, I didn't process that they weren't wearing masks until the aid sneezed and didn't cover her face. I gave them masks and reminded them of my conditions. After the Supervisor left, the aid kept pulling her mask down or letting it slip under her nose, & finally complained it was hurting her ears. I fixed her one to go behind her head. I filled her a bottle of dish detergent hoping if we could get on good ground then we could work on the mask issue. But then she took up an hour of time asking me about why she should wear a mask if she is vaccinated and things that she should have been grilled on before she got here. I realized she really didn't care and was playing me to take up time and get out of doing laundry when she announces it is too late to go wash and fold clothes. Ten minutes later, she is eating a candybar, mask off, and sneezes - does not even try to pull her mask up or cover her face. I should have put her out but I wasn't raised that way. Folks, it's your life. If people don't comply with your health care's requirements? Have them leave immediately.
