Hello, we're looking for a caregiver for the next few weeks for our 3-year-old son who has special needs. Our son is cheerful, though non-verbal and has some mobility challenges. He enjoys interaction and music and his (many) toys. We could use care throughout the day on Monday through Friday for the next few weeks, though it may be primarily afternoons later in the Fall. I am looking for someone to care for my loving little son. He does not have a diagnosis yet, but he is a nonverbal 3-year-old that is very likely on the autism spectrum (we are waiting for an evaluation that's coming up in May). He is friendly, affectionate and very active! I need someone that will be attentive, patient and ready to keep up with his busy needs. He will be starting preschool soon and will need to be picked up and dropped off there for 3 hours on the days I need care. My daughter is 20 but thinks she is 4. She is nonverbal with a few signs and even fewer words, but understands what you say. She loves her baby dolls, coloring, matching cards, her cats, going on walks and riding the bus just about anywhere. Unfortunately she is missing school, friends, swimming and other activities. I need help with her care M-Th 11:00-3:00. Lunches, online school program, daily physical activity, crafting, cooking and simple chores are some of things I would like to have done during the week. Our needs are very specific. We need someone to watch 2-3 children for 2 select days, Sept 8 and 10 and maybe other situations. A 3-year-old with a ton of energy, a 1st grader on the Autism Spectrum that will need help with the upcoming hybrid school plan, and possibly an 11-year-old that just needs help staying focused on online school. It is critical that the person can be here by 7:00 a.m. and stay until at least 2:00 p.m. The 1st grader does not deal well with men. Creative, adaptable, and patience is more important than degrees or years of experience.
