Part Time Caregiver For Special Needs Teen My daughter is 19 years old and graduated high school last year. She has autism and requires adult supervision most of the time. She is a wonderful girl that enjoys having fun, reading simple books, music, jewelry, puzzles, art, riding in the car and joking with friends. She does have some behavioral issues occasionally so I need someone comfortable with dealing with that. starting, I need a couple of caregivers to help during late mornings/afternoons and/or evenings and occasionally weekends. I would like her to work on reading, writing and self-care activities. Her normal afternoon routine involves getting ready for the day, eating and then running errands or just getting out in the community. She loves to be out of about a good part of the day. Her schedule is very flexible and accommodating.

Entails entertaining and caring for a sweet, but relatively severe autistic 5-year-old grandson in our home. He likes to go to parks nearby, play in the back and front yard, and likes only a few toys. He can watch some video and phone, but we try to limit those activities when we can as they seem to cause more stimming.

Our Special Needs Daughter needs a weekend care giver that can attend to her personal needs, daily activities and grooming. Light lifting is required to get her in and out of her wheelchair. She is very petite, non verbal and g-tube fed. She enjoys going out for walks, watching her shows, arts and crafts and books. She requires one on one care and all her needs to be taken care of. Flexible schedule and all training provided. We're looking for someone who has compassion and patience. They should enjoy just being with her and treating her with dignity. Our family includes cats. They are indoor outdoor cats.
