Full Time Or Part Time Senior Care

(1)
I was raised 80% of my childhood with both maternal and paternal grandparents. All four of these wonderful people taught me and shaped me into the caring, nurturing, loving person I am today. Both grandfathers were amazing, they taught me how to use a hammer, put up a fence, mow the lawn and even sand wood and make shelves etc. They taught me the fundamentals of home care and repair (a DIY-er) before calling a professional, if need be! My grandmothers, well they taught me all the essentials of cooking and cleaning within the home and caring for one another. They showed me how to make a totally different meal from leftovers! One grandmother and I would walk miles to mass on early Sunday mornings and watch the classics in the evening. Love my grandmothers dearly. As years past, it was my turn to pay them back with all that they taught me. It was my pleasure to care for them. I was their companion, listening to the good ole days and running errands, taking them to their doctor appointment, preparing their meals and paying their bills. When health got worse, I also was there for there personal needs as well. Since three of my grandparents are gone and my one grandmother that is still here is in awesome condition and needs no help as of yet, Thank God. But I am here to help be someone else's companion and care giver. I am able to meet in person for any prospective employer. I am CPR and AED Certified. I have reliable transportation and is registered and insured.

Full-Time Caregiver

My name is Sara. I have been helping seniors for more than 10 years. For me, this work is very gratifying. I have worked with people with illnesses such as cancer, Alzheimer, brain tumors, diabetes, stroke and heart attack helping them to maintain their independence and good quality of life in the comfort of their home. I am interested in using my experience in caring for seniors and my experience of cooking healthy meals, to make them feel energized, younger and generally feel healthy. I am a certified Home Health Aide. I am current CPR and First Aid certified. I am very trustworthy and reliable with the clients needs. I am able to communicate clearly and effectively in English and Spanish in order to understand client needs and/or concerns of family members.

Three days before Sara was going to begin working as a caregiver for my parents, my 86 y.o. father (who has Alzheimer's) fell and broke his hip. Sara was very flexible as our needs suddenly changed. She was a life-saver at the skilled nursing facility, providing expert personal care to my father and advocating for his needs with staff. When we moved my father to a memory care facility that provided rehab, she drove my mother daily to the facility and provided support. I appreciated her detailed reports of what happened each day. She also cooked. After several weeks, we made the hard decision that my father was better served by staying at the memory care facility, and so we no longer had need of Sara. In the time I worked with her, however, I saw that Sara was exactly the caregiver I had been looking for when I hired her to help my parents. She is very detail oriented, organized, and believes in doing a job right. She is a real find.
