About who needs care: My mom is in kidney failure and has Alzheimer. I just want someone to be in the room with her. Change diaper if needed. Feed her lunch it hungry. Constantly make sure to give her ice chips and water. The caregiver feels confident to go to the kitchen and get things for her. Read to her if she is up to listening. Just assist her in anyway to make her comfortable. She is very sweet and kind. She lives with me and my husband. I'm home but want to be able to leave to get groceries or go to lunch and feel safe that my mother is ok if I step out. She watches TV all day and usually catnaps but May wake up asking questions and I just want someone who can reassure her and will make her feel comfortable. I want the person to always get me if there is any concern.
About the care needs: I want a lady. I would prefer someone in 40-50s. A Christian background is preferred. I need a kind person who feels comfortable with someone who is on hospice and can work with the aid that comes in to bathe my mom. She is very passive even when she needs help. I need someone to know when to say its ok I'm here to help you and its not a burden.
Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
