Breakfast is provided in the morning and a healthy snack is provided when children arrive at Westgate from school in the afternoon. The program is designed to engage and challenge school-age children in a 'club - like' environment. Different clubs meet each afternoon such as Lego, Bingo, and Cooking Club to allow the student s time to relax after a long day at school. For children not interested in a particular club, there are age appropriate activity centers set up throughout the center for them to engage with such as sports, outdoor play, and arts and crafts. Once 5 pm arrives, students divide into small work groups based on grade for homework time. All students have access to technology and teachers to assist them with completing their homework.
