I am prior military and understand the importance of having reliable and quality care for your children. I am a mother of four, ages 23, 19, 13, and 11. My family and I have been in the Stafford, Virginia area since 2012. We are CPR/ First Aid certified. We provide services for infants and children, ages 6 weeks-12 years old, I tailor my program to fit each child's individual needs. There is a routine we follow on a daily basis; I provided breakfast, a.m. snack, lunch, and p.m. snack. I love kids and love having them in my home. I have excellent references upon request.

My family daycare home provides a developmentally based program in an environment designed especially for young children.
We work to develop caring, respectful, and responsive relationships with children from infancy though preschool by partnering with families to support a child s growth and development.
Respect for each child s individualized pattern and timing of growth, as well as individual personality, learning style, interests, culture, logic and family background are central to the fabric of daily interactions and the direction of the curriculum follows.
We support each child s disposition to learn while (1) facilitating it s learning and (2) fostering competencies in all domains, including intellectual, physical, social and emotional development.
We value the interaction between the individual and environment, seeing it as the basis for more complex learning and growth. Children come to own a newfound understanding and knowledge when it is integrated into their daily experiences and existing paradigms in active and meaningful ways. This social constructivist philosophy forms the basis for our curriculum and our emphasis on all aspects of the environment.

The schedule and space is structured to allow children to pace themselves and select activities based on their individual needs. Knowledge is not given to children; they learn through playful and meaningful interactions with materials and people. This means that each child processes experiences uniquely.

The mission of LAUGH N LEARN DAYCARE is to provide comprehensive childcare for children and families. The basic service that we administer is the care and education of children from ages two to four years. Within this care we offer teaching in all subjects from math to phonics, a safe environment and a positive, encouraging atmosphere for children to be in while the parents/guardians are away.

I'm a former Fairfax County Public School elementary teacher of 5 years and a still hold a current teaching license/degree. I've loved being a teacher, but I am enjoying this next adventure in home daycare! I've been an in-home daycare provider for the past 2 years, but recently closed since we are relocating, and am looking forward to opening again in September.
I'm the oldest daughter of 4 and spent a lot time helping my mother with my younger siblings and she also had a daycare in our home that I helped with growing up - so I've always loved working with children.
I spent my summers off from teaching as a personal nanny. I loved being a part of their families during those summers. I helped with laundry, lunch/snacks, playing, learning, and some travel. Between nannying for families with multiple children and having anywhere from 27-32 students in my classroom, I have plenty of experience handling more than one child at a time - successfully!
I am opening my home to you each morning at 6:30 AM, but can make other arrangements if needed - I know teachers need flexibility for before school meetings, field trip days, etc.
I love being outdoors, crafting, and reading in my free time, but that is very limited these days! I have two little ones - 2 years old & 4 months old - and I cannot wait to include your precious little one in all of our daily laughs, play, and learning!
Please contact me with any questions! I have referrals, student notes, and parent letters to speak to my character if you'd like to see them as well!
Thank you for reading and I look forward to hearing from you.
