I'm a former Fairfax County Public School elementary teacher of 5 years and a still hold a current teaching license/degree. I've loved being a teacher, but I am enjoying this next chapter in home daycare! I've been an in-home daycare provider for the past 2 years, but recently relocated and am looking forward to a new adventure here in Stafford. I'm the oldest of 4 and spent a lot time helping my mother with my younger siblings and she also had a daycare in our home that I helped with growing up - so I've always loved working with children. I spent my summers off from teaching as a personal nanny. I loved being a part of their families during those summers. I helped with laundry, lunch/snacks, playing, learning, and some travel. Between nannying for families with multiple children and having anywhere from 27-32 students in my classroom, I have plenty of experience handling more than one child at a time - successfully! I am opening my home to you each morning at 6:30 AM, but can make other arrangements if needed - I know teachers need flexibility for before school meetings, field trip days, etc. I love being outdoors, crafting, and reading in my free time, but that is very limited these days!
