Creative, Experienced Educator

(1)
I am an educator with 4 years of experience in nonprofit-based education, primarily for art museums. I have extensive training in early childhood education as well as visual learning methodologies, and I specialize in Visual Thinking Strategies as well as Social Emotional Learning. I have taught subjects from chemistry to painting in a variety of formats and settings-I've taught one-on-one and I've taught 2, 000 kids at a time. I am passionate about making learning fun and engaging: my most recent position as an Outreach Educator at the Children's Museum of Atlanta involved creating and teaching curricula based around "learning through play." I have also worked with economically diverse populations, with my most recent position focusing on children from low-income and houseless families. I am confident that my creative and artistic energy will leave any student wanting to know more.

As a former coworker of Morgan's, I am so glad to see that they're continuing to pursue work in caretaking and education. I remember watching them put in hours off the clock daily to craft and discuss lesson plans, always aiming (and succeeding!) to make the science demonstrations even more engaging, or running lines and discussing different ideas for the perfect portrayal of a character in any given educational play. Morgan can do it all, and I'm confident that they'll be the perfect teacher, caretaker, and role model for any child who's lucky enough to meet them.

Test Prep Coach And Academic Tutor

(8)
I've been tutoring and coaching professionally for over four years and voluntarily for even longer. I've worked with the full gamut of student profiles - from a boy who was struggling to pass US History to a girl who hoped to push her 1460 on the SAT as close to a 1600 as possible. Accommodating so many different types of learning styles has taught me to be flexible, read each student's style and come prepared with an assortment of methods. More importantly, my approach is designed with the big picture in mind. As we're working on the subject in front of us, I want to make sure my students ultimately feel able to recall the work when I'm not there. I want to help them develop the attributes that will make them successful in the next stage of their life: self-confidence and the ability to think critically, ask questions and work hard.

David worked with my son in our home for nearly an entire academic year. Not only did he help organize my son's nightly academic work load, he taught him how to work through long term projects. He was able to help him with nearly every subject. If he didn't have an impressive understanding of something, he learned it so he could tutor it. David went out of his way to accommodate my son's demanding sports schedule and understood it as an important part of his well-being. David has a positive, warm and likable personality which made him a great fit for my very sociable teenage son.

I have worked with children for the past 6 years and I have loved it so much! I worked at an after school care center, and a few different summer camps(Canp Kids Klub South Pasadena, Beyond the Classroom, Fitness by The Sea) and also been a nanny or MANNY or some amazing families. At the after school care center and the Summer camp I have lead group of kids form. ages raged from 5 to 14. I spent years with k-2 , 2 years 3-5th and two with teens. I truly love working with every age group, and know that they are all very different! The two families I have nannied for( 11-year-old girl 8-year-old boy, 11 year old girl 6 year old boy) Were amazing. In addition to hanging out and keeping their kids entertained I picked up from school, took to activities , cooked , and cleaned. I am. a basketball player , musician(ukulele and piano) actor , filmmaker, and all around fun dude . I think my patience and fun loving attitude are my superpowers!

Our kids have never loved another babysitter more than Kalle. He is incredibly kind, honest, gentle, super FUN, and always up for going the extra mile. He can relate to kids of all ages and knows what adventures and activities that will be both engaging and enriching to them. He is a person of immense integrity and models that for the kids in every interaction. He is gracious, reliable, always on time, and doesn't hesitate to check in if there's an issue that he wants to talk with a parent about before responding. It was an absolute pleasure to have Kalle care for our kids. I wholeheartedly recommend him.
