My name is Jamie and I am seeking employment as a caregiver for children all ages. I am available in the morning, afternoons, evenings, and on weekends. Working with children has always been a passion of mine and I have over 20 years of experience with with children of various ages ranging from newborn to middle school aged children. I have pleasure of working in a variety of settings, including daycare centers, after school programs and as a private nanny. I enjoy engaging with children through play, hands on activities and conversation. I also have experience as a person assistant. I just finished receiving my Certified Trainer Licence and continuing special focus on Youth training. I am looking to find a family or families that will be the right match for me. My name is Annemarie and I am 39 years old. I live in Leland, NC with my boyfriend and our gorgeous puppy Lilly! I have a B. S. in Bioscience, with my concentration in Forensic DNA Analysis, and I also have an A. S. in Paramedic Medicine. I am a New York State certified Paramedic, therefore I am CPR certified (amongst a lot of other pediatric medical training). I have been a nanny for a 2-year-old gorgeous little girl. I had been with the family (single dad) since she was born, however, the father is remarried and moved out of state. I have also been a coach and personal trainer in soccer and softball for both boys and girls ranging in ages from 4-17 years. In early 2003, I helped my aunt raise her children after the sudden passing of my uncle. My aunt had to return to work, which sometimes took her on business trips in different states for weeks at a time, this left me as the sole caregiver of my cousins, ages: 8 months, 1 and 1/2 years, and 12 years old!

My experience as a childcare provider started back in 2001 with only a few families, but when it became evident that I had a special gift for working with children I began to get constant referrals and soon every kid in the neighborhood knew me! For over a decade I have cared for every age group from newborn infant to teen. My all-time favorite activities with children include playing outside/ taking walks, and reading books before nap time (or anytime, for that matter!) I can be a bit "goofy" so your little one needs to be prepared to laugh! ;) Also, I now have a kiddo of my own! (My son will be 3 years old in February.) If your kiddos would love another friend (and you would love a highly experienced nanny!) we might be a great fit! I'm currently providing care for fully potty-trained children on an as-needed/ backup/ temp basis, but would be open to a longer term commitment 1-2 days a week. For the past 7 years I have been working with families in the North Shore as a Nanny/House Manager/Family Assistant and Professional Tutor. My experience includes 20 years as a classroom teacher where I taught math, art, English, language arts and a drama/music class to 7th grade students. Over the course of my life I have obtained a black belt in Taekwondo, became a certified personal trainer, certified aerobics instructor and am now learning tennis. As an enrichment specialist, I enjoy bringing things to engage children in creative inside play such as crafts, games, puzzles, baking, drama and music. As a physically fit person, I enjoy being an active participant in outside play with the children so will play tag, basketball, volleyball, street hockey and swim. Some of the things I do is help the children with their homework, prepare delicious and healthy meals, maintain the family calendar, and plan a variety of family events.

I previously worked in the severe Autism unit as a paraprofessional for 9 years. I was employed with this school where I have worked with the severe and profound every year and have a passion for it. I have 4 years of volunteer work with special needs children at two different schools. I did one year at one school and then was hired the next year. I did three years at the other school where I helped the special students as they went to their different classrooms. I changed diapers, help with toileting, lift kids to put in wheelchair but not over 30 lbs administered tube feedings, ABA feeding therapy, administer sensory strategies and behavior interventions, AAC devices for communication. I work well with students who are non-verbal. I am certified in CPR, AED, First Aid and Crisis Prevention and Intervention. I have worked with TBI, Downs, CP, AU, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, Albinism, Angel man Syndrome, Seizure Disorders, Visually and Verbally Impaired, ID (Intellectually disabled-mentally retarded). I keep my training updated through online trainings. My mother is a special needs teacher and chair person for her campus. I go to trainings with her and help her in trainings. I recently attended the ESC 10 life skills bootcamp for 2014 with my mother where she was one of the lead presenters. I keep updated on my trainings by doing this. I am aware of the need for transition to life training by building employment, self-advocacy, social skills, communication and basic life skills. I am a dedicated and passionate trainer. I have CPI training and I am aware of how to work with students with behavior plans.

I have been in the healthcare field for nearly 15 years and the past 4 years in long term care. I was a Case Manager for a Home Health Care Company, administration for Brookdale Senior Living and assisted with activities at Holiday Retirement. I have also worked in the dementia care unit for Life Care Centers of America. I now enjoy working in patient's homes to promote a preventive lifestyle, improve quality of life and help them regain some level of independence. I am also a certified personal trainer and fitness instructor, specializing in senior fitness. Exercise programing and training are part of my personal home health care services with no additional cost. I also teach strength and balance classes for seniors at several gyms, Brookdale Senior Living and Holiday Retirement, as well as provide small group training. I am a huge advocate of helping patients age in place, improve quality of life and stay out of skilled nursing facilities as long as possible.

I have 20 years experience as a caregiver . Most of my experience has been with dementia and AD but also have experience with Parkinson's and MS. I have a clean driving record with insurance and have excellent references from a Dr that I have been working with and from families I have worked with. Hello, my name is Jorge. I'm a kind, compassionate caregiver, a newly-retired dentist and a certified trainer specializing in at-home senior fitness. I'm also certified in CPR, basic life support, infection control, and working with an aging population. I help seniors run errands, escort them to doctors' appointments, shop, take walks, or have a meal together. I'm a good cook and am knowledgeable about nutrition. I do light housework and am physically strong. I encourage people to stay healthy, respect their boundaries, and help them keep their independent lifestyle as much as possible. I'm fluent in English, Spanish and French, and am always up for watching a movie, listening to music or engaging in conversation. Besides raising my own 5 children and playing a very active role (starting in the delivery room) with my 11 (so far) grandchildren, I began my career as a Director of the Infant/Toddler programs in certified child care centers. I come with an extensive background in early childhood education and have many certificates of completion in Special Needs Academy's from U. C. D. I have some Montessori background and education and it is with passion that I continue in the teaching, nurturing and the preservation of the total well-being of infants, children and young adults.
