Experienced Homemaker Seeking To Assist You With Your Household Chores
Avg response < 6 hrs
With nearly 40 years of work experience under my belt, doing everything from food service to management, I have never been as well suited for my work as I am now. Housekeeping has always been my "fall back on" job. Its been what I have done the few times I have found myself between jobs. That all changed about 2 years ago when I submitted a job. I asked to be hired as a personal assistant. I was hired very quickly. Then she referred me to a friend. While working for these two very professional business women I have provided services such as adult care, errands, child care, cooking, pet training, gardening and office work. The truth is though, most of the time, I clean and organize for them. I love it, every minute of it. That's not to say I don't want to do those other things, but if you really want to see me shine let me clean for you. You will be very pleased. I am very detailed and quite the perfectionist.

Small Household Chores, Transport To Appointment, Personal Needs, Errands
I have a Bachelor Degree in Social Work with a concentration in nursing homes.. I am passionate about helping older adults stay independent in their own homes and I consider it a true blessing for me to do what I love! My hope is that I will also be a blessing to my clients! From the age of 4, I had an elderly neighbor who I was around everyday through high school. My love for the elderly grew from there. I grew up around my mom inspecting nursing homes for the State! I helped care for my grandparents til they passed in 2001 and 2003. I also currently care and coordinate my moms needs, who had a bilateral BKA ( below knee amputation). I volunteered for Faith In Action (Drive a Senior) for over 3 years and helped the same 94-year-old lady during that time. I have worked for 3 different caregiver agencies! My goal is to love and respect my clients , and to help each one of them with their individual needs and plan of care, while providing companionship!

Home Health Care Fulltime Taking CNA Training
Avg response < 9 hrs
Before and during college I worked at Nursing Homes as a Nurses Aide. After college I had a career as a Property Manager and worked at low income Elderly Apartment Buildings, I put together programs for my elderly clients so they could be happy, healthy and social. I did a lot of volunteer work with the elderly running classes and helping get grants. I have spent the past two years working fulltime for an 87-year-old woman. I assisted with bathing, dressing, bathroom, cooking, household chores, she was in a walker and I would help her get in and out of the house with the stairs using a cane and a gait belt. I did PT and OT excercises with her twice a day as well as morning stretching and ambulatory exercise through the day. I kept her schedule and took her to dr appointments, hair appointments and shopping. I have signed up and paid for a CNA training class (although I have already taken a free course for CNA) with Red Cross so I can get my State licensing in early November.
