We are looking for a great person to step in temporarily while the family's permanent nanny is on maternity leave. The position dates are May 10, 2021 - July 6, 2021. There will also be several babysitting opportunities after the temp position has concluded.
Work week is 36 - 44 hours a week on average and 3-4 days per wk.
Monday - Wednesday 6:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. (12 hours)
at least two Thursdays per month from 7 a.m. - 2pm, occasionally until 4 p.m. (7-9 hours). About the child(ren): This is a smart, fun and active family of 5 with 3 kids. Ages: 5, 8 and 10. Currently their schooling is partially on site and partially at home depending on the week it looks like the school will return fully in session when the position begins. The children also have piano and ballet classes that they attend via video call from home after school for now. Requirements:
Active drivers license with clean driving record
US work authorization
At least 1 year childcare experience (babysitting, nanny, teaching, etc.)
CPR a plus
Provide a safe environment.
Provide a stimulating/educational/loving environment.
Tend to children's needs: brush teeth in the am (before breakfast), prepare breakfast, Vitamins, get dressed, sunblock (everyday on face even in the winter), etc.
Prepare school lunches as needed.
Take the children to school using the "Nanny car" provided by the family.
Be available to help the child that will be in online school if/when needed.
Organize activities and outings for the summer that are both educational and entertaining. Family will pay for any supplies/passes/tickets etc. that are needed.
Facilitate the children's independence, curiosity and self regulatory behavior with a balanced amount of kindness and discipline.
Bathe children in the afternoon every day.
Children's laundry washed and put away by the end of work week. Wash children's towels twice per week.
Put dishes away and load dishwasher.
Maintain a clean and organized play area and children's rooms.
Occasional errands (washing the "nanny car" and putting gas in the tank). We could use help with homework or curriculum assistance.
