Part Time, Full Time, Overnight Caregiver Available

Avg response < 5 hrs
I am a very healthy, cheerful, clean and mature english speaking woman. I am a certified CNA and trained and certified in CPR and medication management. I cared for my brother through terminal cancer, my mother through early/mid-Alzheimer's and my aunt through the ups and downs of later life. I have worked as a para-educator with the Lake Washington School District working with developmentally disabled, autistic kids and children with Down Syndrome and Cerebral Palsy. The last three years I have cared for women with the challenges of early to mid stage cognitive disorders. I love and am comfortable with animals of all kinds. I am available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays. I am dedicated and compassionate and would prefer that my relationship with the person for whom I care be not just that of a caregiver, but a friend. I would love to talk with you to see if the position you're hoping to fill might be a good and comfortable fit for all concerned.

Carol has been working as a part-time companion to my mother who has mild dementia since February 2020. She is kind, patient, reliable and trustworthy. She goes out of her way to communicate with me about anything she notices or might be concerned about, which I really appreciate. Ever since COVID-19 hit this year she has been extremely careful about adhering to strict social distancing, PPE, and cleanliness protocols and ensures my mother stays safe when they go out. We feel VERY lucky to have found her!

Natural Caretaker Who Loves People

Avg response < 1 hrs
I am a caretaker by nature and have always loved helping others out. I have a huge heart and I am a hugger to everyone. I am a mom of 4 (23, 20, 10, 6) and have been fortunate enough to be a stay at home mom, while raising my kids. Now that my last two are in school full time, I'd love to be able to use my free time to help care for someone in need. I started my career in Nursing and my fondest memories are the times I took care of my grandma and I loved visiting the assisted living places, and just visiting with everyone there. I've always had a love for those older than me and I've always enjoyed being able to care for them in any way possible. I had my mother in law move in with us so I could care for her while she was going through cancer treatment. I also moved my dad in with me, to nurse him back to health after having been in kidney failure. I enjoyed morning coffee with him and I loved driving him around town, just to get out of the house.

Stephanie has been a very professional caregiver, house organizer extraordinaire, as well as everything I could ask for in meeting my needs. Being disabled and in chronic pain for many years has worn me down. She has been fabulous at making sure that e everything gets done. She has even gone way above and beyond by including me, because I am alone to all of her family holiday functions. I feel very blessed to have her in my life. Thank you Stephanie!

Nurturing Dementia/ Alzheimer's Nurse/ Companion Looking For Part Time Work

Avg response < 2 hrs
I am a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) My passion to work with Seniors began as volunteer work. I was touched by the shortage of Nurses and care providers. I decided to give up my cooperate job as an Analyst with a major bank to pursue a Nursing career. The care I provide comes straight from the heart. I pride myself in my work. Working one on one brings out the best in me. While caring for your loved one , I like to engage them in cognitive stimulating activities that enhances their creativity, social skills while allowing them to be as independent as possible. I challenge myself to bring out skills, talents and hobbies they used to enjoy. Apart from caring for your loved one, I enjoy organizing and keeping things neat and clean. My hobbies include, dancing, live music, arts and crafts , refurbishing furniture, interior designing/decorating, gardening, organizing, antiques and shopping. I am very creative and I like to use my imagination to create new things from old.

Patty goes above and beyond! She's beyond exceptional. Patty has a beautiful heart and spirit and definitely cares from the heart like she said. My mother's last few months on this earth were beautiful because we found Patty. I had no experience with dementia whatsoever as both sides of my grandparents didn't have this horrible disease. I could not see my mom in a nursing home but as a working mom, I could not stay home to take care of my mom. Patty came in at the right time, walked me through the disease process and her experience with it. I was sold immediately. Mom began her journey with Patty until the end and she enjoyed every moment of it. When mom was passing, Patty was right by her side and when she called her name, my mom had this beautiful smile on her face as she faded away. This was a good sign that my mom left this earth happy and was well taken care of. Patty is an angel and has a very unique gift of connecting with people. My whole family loves Patty !
