I have been a caretaker almost all my life. I would have to say that caring for my grandmother was the best time spent. Getting to know her on a completely different level than the fun loving, little dancing Italian woman she was to the elderly woman she became. I worked in hospice care and found it to be very rewarding. I've been lucky enough to meet lots of people with amazing lives. I am a certified nursing assistant and love to care for those who need extra help or those going to through the last stage of this thing we call life. I am realistic and compassionate when it comes to families and their loved ones that are growing older. I know from personal experience that it's not easy for anyone involved. I am a gentle and compassionate CNA at a nursing facility on the dementia and memory care unit. I absolutely love my residents, they make every night of work a fun and new experience, as no two nights of work are the same.
