About who needs care: Slight dementia, able to walk with a walker. Needs 24 hr care at this time and wants to remain at home. Home is very nice and would work well for a live in caregiver.. others could be hired to supplement the in home caregiver and a schedule could be developed. He naps after meals, watches television, will enjoy his garden, will need help with transportation to appointments etc. and enjoys going out to a restaurant etc. with family on occasion. About the care needs: It would be great if our caregiver was Friendly, patient, experienced, extremely dependable, has a nice sense of humor and someone who is physically able to assist a 92-year-old who may need assistance dressing and bathing etc. He is a at a nursing facility now and has made improvements and wants to be at home. The home is very nice and all on one level. This person would be in charge of medications, light house keeping, preparing meals , transportation in a his vehicle to appts and restaurants etc. on occasion, dressing, assistance with showering etc. We will install monitors or any needed safety equipment that may be needed to assist. Landscaping and all property & house maintenance, deeper cleaning etc. Will be done by private contractors. Now he is enjoying doing light workouts with a fitness instructor at his current facility to try and build more strength so we will make arrangements to have this done in his home. We would like to start with a live in as the foundation for his care and supplement with additional caregivers when needed.
