I am searching for a compassionate caregiver with a loud, clear speaking voice to visit my 95 year old father in his nursing home two times each week for one hour. The schedule would be flexible, but I would prefer the caregiver comes in on Mondays and Thursdays either in the mid-morning or late afternoons. My father is bed and wheelchair bound and is blind and hard of hearing but still has a good sense of humor. This caregiver would not be responsible for any hands-on personal care, instead they would provide mental stimulation and assist my father with movement including cueing him to use his exercise equipment, moving his legs, handing him 1lb weights, and handing him a ball to squeeze etc. I would show you how to do these activities with him. While it may seem like a small task, this interaction is extremely beneficial for my dad.
