In this job we would work on homework, do arts and crafts, play organized sports outside, play educational games, and put on shows, plays, chorus performances, etc. After I graduated, while attending college, I worked as a nanny for three children, two of which had special needs. One child, who was 6 when I started working with him, was autistic. One, who was 8 when I started, had Down syndrome, and their sister was 7. I worked with them for 4 years. With them, we would do learning games, flashcards, homework, play soccer, swim, all kinds of things. I also lived with them, as their mother was a single parent, so I helped with cooking, cleaning, and errands.
