Hi! My name is Michelle but my daycare kiddos and parents call me "Mimi".
I have been providing in-home-daycare for over 20 years; 8 years of which I was a Certified Provider under the Navy's Child & Youth Program. I am fully licensed by the State of CA to run a small daycare, certified in Infant/Child/Adult CPR and First Aid, I have been fingerprinted (along with my all my family members) and passed background investigations by the FBI and LiveScan.
My state license is for a capacity of 8, yet I choose to care for 5-6 so that I may spend quality time with the children. I learn so much every day from the children in my care as well as from the parents. We work closely together so that the children create good habits at their home and in my care. I provide your child with a loving, relaxing home setting along with the feeling of being a part of my family and our everyday life. I am strongly invested in the social development of the children; during the day, you can expect your child to work on/learn their ABC's, be active all day while learning about everything around them (touch, smell, sight), we sing songs and dance together. I read books throughout the day to all or each child if they request.
I take the responsibility of your child's safety and development very seriously. I participate in online proficiency training along with off site training through the YMCA and other training facilities.
I am a mother of 3; two daughters aged 21 and 20 along with a 23 year-old son who has graced me with 2 beautiful grand daughters. Being the mother of 3, even though they are older, we are still an "on the go family. My day care kiddos are always included in family activities and are treated as part of the family.
My home also has fur babies. We have Winni our 3.5 year old Boxer and Sylvester and Birdie our 1 Year old Kitties. The children love getting greeted by Winni at the front door everyday.

I love Mimi and so does my daughter. We placed her in Mimi's care when she was 8 weeks old and is now three and has never been and anyone elses care. We love the family atmosphere in this home and my daughter has flourished here. She knows her ABC's, all the nursery rhymes you can think of and can count to 20. Mimi does treat your child like family, she does outings, our daughter fav is the Library and the park down the street. Now she is helping with potty training. Mimi is the best if you want your child taken care of and cared for. We have been very lucky to have found her.

Michelle took care of our sons while we were stationed in San Diego. My oldest was 2.5 years old when he started with her, and after I had our second son, he started at the daycare too, at 8 weeks old until just over 1 year old when we transferred. My boys loved it with Mimi. She kept them entertained and they had lots of fun, but they weren't running wild. She did a great job of helping prep my oldest for kindergarten, too. If we hadn't been transferred, we wouldn't have left her.

We have used Michelle as our daycare provider for 2+ years now. She takes care of our preemie, Cooper. Cooper started with Michelle when she was 20 weeks old, but only 5 lbs. Michelle was awesome at sending pictures to use throughout the day to ease our transition back to work. She respected our feeding schedule and has become our "Mimi". Michelle will keep you updated on anything you would like notification about. Cooper loves to go to Mimi's!
