I supply the diapers, wipes, food, formula and fun ....you supply the baby. I've been working with kids for 20 years and couldn't be happier.

I am a married mother with two kids. I have been a daycare provider since 1997 and I started my own home daycare in 2002. That's 21+ years of experience with children, not including my own kids! It is my goal to offer your family the quality childcare experience you deserve. I will do my best to provide your children with a nurturing environment to help them develop socially and mentally.

I am a licensed home daycare provider in the state of California. I am also fingerprinted and background checked and CPR/First Aid/Safety Certified. I care for children ranging from infants (2 months) to 5 years old. For those who need it, I also speak fluent Arabic. YMCA and PCG programs are accepted here.

I earned a Bachelors of Art degree in Pre-K/Primary education. My journey in education began in 1992, as a senior in high school. My first job was as a 6 to 6 teacher. While earning my degree, I worked in several areas of education starting as teacher's assistant, and working my way up to Kindergarten teacher and then a Title 5 Preschool director. I am grateful for my degree and even more grateful for the employment opportunities I had while in college. Soon after I started my first teaching job, I realized I wasn't fulfilled and I missed the preschool age group. In 2004, I decided to take a risk and start my own business. I am so happy about my decision! I absolutely LOVE my job and I am tremendously blessed and grateful to do what I do everyday.
My program is play based with appropriate learning materials. There is a strong emphasis on Reggio Emilia philosophy. Each child will have the opportunity to choose from a variety of tasks that will allow for a balanced daily schedule of individual and small and large group activities.
A large portion of our day is based on language and literacy. Children love circle time and read alouds. My home will become your child's home away from home, therefore we prepare your child for social environments they will have to encounter. We teach your children manners and social etiquette. We model appropriate behavior and language, always emphasizing being polite and kind to others. An example of this is our approach to meal time. We all gather together to enjoy our meals. We model appropriate eating habits and graces. We hold conversations with children and model family style dining. We build on team work by asking others to pass food and encourage all to try new things. We also work hygiene into our daily schedule. The children brush their teeth before nap time. Because we have pets, pet care is also a part of our daily routine. Children learn how to care properly for our pets. They learn to recognize pet boundaries and how to use gentle touches. We believe that there is a learning experience in everything that we do and we like to take full advantage of all of our opportunities to do so. The world is our classroom.

FAQ

Q: What age range do you accept?

Generally, we only accept infants who are 18 months and older. However, we may make an exception for a child who can walk and feed him/her self. If your child doesn't have these skills, it's best for you to sign up for our waiting list. However, we will except school age students for drop-in purposes. We understand that families need services when their school may have an extended holiday break or school closer dates.


Q: Do you have a cut off age?

Yes. Our enrollment cut-off age is four-years-old. We strongly believe that children need to graduate from childcare to preschool at age four. Just as students in an elementary, middle and high school are usually grouped by age, we find that the four-year-olds are ready to break away from the toddlers and infants to prepare for kindergarten.

Q: Do you accept part-time enrollments? I was thinking of using a childcare service for two or three days a week.

As a family childcare home, we have a limited number of students we can enroll. It doesn't make sense for us to allocate space for part-time students. You are welcome to enroll your child on a full-time basis and not send him/her every day. But we do charge full tuition for every child regardless of the number of days he/she attends.
