I started out working at the hotel cleaning rooms. It consisted of vacuuming, making beds, polishing furniture, cleaning bathroom and mopping floors. I also had the privilege of working for a cleaning outfit in Pittsburgh, Pa. We cleaned 5 to 6 houses a day. She also had some contracts for the Pittsburgh Steelers Players homes. If we cleaned their homes we could only do one per day because of the size of the homes. We did windows, bathrooms, kitchens, dusting, floors sweeping and mopping. We also shampooed carpets, laundry, made sure dishes and kitchen was spotless. Our day usually started at 8:30 a.m. and usually ended around 6 or 7 p.m.
