Hands-on Care Needed For My Grandmother - We are looking for a c...

Part Time $10 – 22/hr Starts 11/17 Austin, TX
About who needs care: We are looking for a compassionate individual to assist part-time with my elderly grandmother. She is in her early 80's. She lives with her family (my mother and brother) who work during the day). She needs part-time assistance with personal care. She is mobile and has great fine motor coordination (can feed herself, dress/undress with assistance) but recently starting to show signs of Dementia and is using adult diapers since she is needing extra help with the restroom. Must be comfortable assisting with adult toileting/bathing. She does not need any medical care, but mainly supervision (she had a few falls relocating from her chair to the bathroom in the past few weeks). We are looking for a gentle soul to help with her personal care when needed. She is very quiet/passive (not a strong personality by any means). Her husband passed away several years ago, ever since then she has been withdrawn. Someone to keep her company would be nice but would not be required. Mainly - her family wants to make sure her personal needs are taken care of while her family works during the day. Although this position is part-time (roughly 5-6 hours during the day on a weekday mornings), we would also welcome someone who would be willing to work weekends and possibly turn this into a full-time position. Candidates must be non-smoking and fully (COVID-19) vaccinated. Must be willing to wear a mask and follow strict COVID safety guidelines. Must also be willing to get COVID tested weekly (I am a certified COVID test administrator and will be able to provide on-site testing each week). Individual must also be willing to provide references/references. About the care needs: My grandmother is from Sri Lanka. Although she is mostly comfortable with Sinhalese, she also understands and speaks English when spoken to slowly and clearly. Grandmother is not very talkative to begin with, she is very quiet and is easy going. Services needed include: light housekeeping, bathing / dressing.
