Do they have ideas they TRULY believe in and would love to voice? Do you just want to improve their overall speech confidence while they learn how to structure and present a speech? Well, this is THEIR moment! In this awesome 1/2 Day Camp, we will: - Review the fundamentals of effective speech PERFORMANCE; - Have discussions about various TEDx Talks topics or current events; - Analyze various TED Talks; - Play multiple public speaking games and work on public speaking quick speech assignments during the class; - Learn how to STRUCTURE a TEDX Speech; - Receive instructor feedback and/or peer feedback; and - Writing and present a final TEDx Talk chosen by the student! Terrific Ted Talkers SHOWCASE! We will invite key community members for a final Speech Showcase on our last day of class! We will also provide videos of the students’ speeches for parents! In both classes every day, the students will have multiple opportunities to practice what WE preach and receive feedback! Calling all young writers, illustrators, and storytellers! In this creative and inspiring workshop, students will dream up, write, illustrate, and bind their very own handmade books. Throughout the week, artists will explore what makes a story come alive—memorable characters, vivid settings, exciting conflicts, and imaginative details. Students may create stories inspired by summer adventures, fantasy worlds, friendships, mysteries, nature, family memories, or entirely original ideas. Guided prompts and brainstorming activities will help each child find a story they’re excited to tell. As writers and artists, students will develop their story structure, design their pages, create illustrations, and think about how words and images work together to create meaning. They’ll receive support and encouragement along the way, while also having room to make creative choices and develop their own voice. To complete their books, students will design a mixed-media cover and bind their pages together with ribbon, creating a beautiful handmade keepsake to take home and share. Students will be introduced to, and encouraged to explore, a variety of mediums—including drawing, painting, ceramics, printmaking, mixed media, and collage—while receiving personalized guidance from an experienced instructor. Whether they're interested in building their technical skills or discovering thier own unique style, this class offers the freedom to experiment and create at your own pace. New teen students will complete three pre-designed projects with their teacher's guidance to help aid them in learning how to set-up/clean-up supplies and materials, get a feel for what mediums are available, and allow teachers to get a feel for the student's level of skill and art knowledge. Gloria Voce is a mixed choral group for students to grow together in learning to read music, sing harmonies, and apply vocal techniques of breath, blend, pitch, and resonance at the junior high level. In this season, students will find their voices are changing and we will adapt to their new “instrument” as that occurs. Along with two concerts in December (Tuesday, December 1st at 7pm) and May (date TBD), Gloria Voce may also perform at the Mall of America during the Christmas season (date TBD). No audition required. NOTE: due to the time required to order music, a late fee of $25 for all who register less than two weeks before classes begin.

Leapstart's Artistic Expression Arts Studio is a five-day immersive art camp for children ages 4.5–11, designed with age-appropriate projects and guided participation. This studio-style experience encourages children to explore visual art through multiple mediums—helping them build skills, confidence, and a personal creative voice.

Campers embark on a theatrical journey through this lively city as they explore acting, voice, movement, and stage presence. Each day blends fun, learning, and creativity while helping students build confidence, teamwork, and performance skills. The camp concludes with a special performance for family and friends.

For ages 5–11, this fun and supportive camp helps kids build confidence, creativity, and public speaking skills through improv games, storytelling, and role-play. Campers practice thinking on their feet, using humor, and engaging an audience with voice, body language, and expression. The week concludes with a light-hearted showcase where kids demonstrate their new skills in the form of a video recording shared with their families after camp.

In this collaborative, creativity driven class for grades 7–12, students will bring stories to life through the art of puppetry. From the first spark of an idea to final performance, participants will work together to create original stories, design and build puppets, and develop engaging characters. Students will explore storytelling, voice, movement, and basic performance techniques while learning how to communicate clearly and connect with an audience. The class will culminate in a special performance (or performances) for elementary-aged students, giving participants the opportunity to share their creativity and bring joy to a younger audience. This is a perfect class for students who love acting, storytelling, art, or simply creating something meaningful as part of a team. *The tuition includes a $20 supply fee to cover materials.

Cantabile Choir members focus on learning to sing as an ensemble as we prepare music, including songs in foreign languages, to be performed at TCHA’s Choir Concert at the end of the semester (Tuesday, December 1st at 7pm). Cantabile may also perform at the Mall of America during the Christmas season (date TBD). They will sing music from different genres, singing unison, 2-part, and 3-part music. Cantabile is appropriate for boys with unchanged voices.

Summer PATA camp is a unique performing arts training academy for individuals 6-18 years old. We are located at Wyoming Seminary College Preparatory School, a small, safe, beautiful campus in Kingston, Pennsylvania. Our mission is to provide young performers state-of-the-art voice, dance, and drama training within a safe, supportive, and engaging environment. The only academy of its kind in Northeast PA, Summer PATA integrates the magic of theater and performance with key principles of anatomy, physiology, and current learning theories.
