In Drawing/Painting Class we will create a variety of fine art projects focusing on technique and style, composition, brushwork, and systematic practice. KVArteest will give input on our subject matter, as we together decide what we want to learn.

You don't have to be a pro to create beautiful art! All it takes is some practice, patience, and inspiration to create something magnificent. For my age 10+ KVArteests, we work in oil paints on projects each artist chooses with my input. This is a class for those with enough art experience or can-do attitude to work largely independently.

Fall Semester Session One (August-October) Exercise the imagination at the Art House. This class is designed for kindergarten through 2nd grade aged children to help them learn and develop fine motor skills through creating art! Your child will practice using scissors, holding a pencil and paint brush, and much more through drawing, painting, and sculpting. Students produce a variety of projects with various mediums and subjects in order to learn different techniques and skills in creating art. Classes are limited in sizes so sign your child up today!

Each session we will focus on a new artist and medium , creating amazing works throughout the 4 weeks. This is an introduction to artistic forms and skill-building within many mediums, creating frame worthy fun projects throughout the year. Saturday Morning Art Club Start your weekend with creativity! Join us for a relaxed and fun art session where participants can explore different materials, techniques, and projects in a supportive environment. Pick from Canvas painting or ceramic with step by step instructions or on your own.

It's art camp at Key to My Art!!! Each week is a new theme, each day is a new project! You can book flexibly to meet your scheduling needs! Art camp is taught by certified teachers, so your child will be having fun while being creative and learning (yes, we sneak it in painlessly) in a safe environment run by individuals who have been trained to work with children and have a Master's degree in education. Ms. Kampson is a tenured art teacher in North Babylon School District, Ms. Katelyn is a certified art teacher at Bayshore High school, and Ms. Riesa is the owner of Key to My Art - a NYS certified teacher and licensed art therapist! Camp will last 2 hours. Your child may bring a light snack and a water bottle. Try to avoid sending your child with any food that contains peanuts - but if you do, please notify the instructor. Book 10 or more days and save 10%, making 2 hours just $40 (less than a babysitter!) Monday - Mixed Media (mixture of different supplies - collages, drawing/painting, glue, scissors, oil pastels, etc) Tuesday - Anything Goes! (Surprise media - may be anything from crafty projects to canvas painting.) Wednesday - Drawing (pencils, crayons, markers, pastels, etc) Thursday - Painting (watercolor, acrylic, etc) Please make sure you read through all of our agreements before checking out. Once you book, we do not offer refunds for any circumstances. In the case that your child is sick or something else comes up, you can swap days - just notify us by EMAIL. Whether they're interested in building their technical skills or discovering thier own unique style, this class offers the freedom to experiment and create at your own pace. New teen students will complete three pre-designed projects with their teacher's guidance to help aid them in learning how to set-up/clean-up supplies and materials, get a feel for what mediums are available, and allow teachers to get a feel for the student's level of skill and art knowledge. What They’ll Learn: Medium Exploration: Gain hands-on experience with a wide range of art forms, including pencil and charcoal drawing, acrylic and watercolor painting, clay sculpture, printmaking, and collage techniques. Project Development: Learn how to conceptualize, plan, and execute your own independent projects. With teacher support, they’ll refine your ideas and bring them to life. Creative Techniques: Develop new skills in various artistic techniques, from layering and texture in mixed media to the technical aspects of ceramics and printmaking. Self-Expression: Find their own voice and style as they experiment with different materials and approaches to art-making. Every Sunday, our studio will open its doors to young children and their caregivers for a relaxed, multiple hands-on experience designed for open-ended exploration and creativity. Children are free to explore a variety of art materials at their own pace and in their own unique way. From glow painting to exploring various materials like shaving cream, ooey gooey slime, this open play is designed to engage all of your child's senses, promote cognitive development, fine motor skills, and sensory processing as your child explores different textures, colors, and materials. Our studio is transformed into a wonderland of colors, textures, and possibilities, with art stations set up to inspire young imaginations. ​Furry friends make the best friends! This week we will be working in pencil, acrylics, ink, watercolor and clay! Join us as we make our way through the zoo and learn how to draw painting and sculpt some of our favorite animals.

COLOR YOUR WORLD Join us for a camp with hands on art. At this camp your child will sculpt one of the brightest colored animals in the rainforest, a tree frog! Sculptures are made using polymer clay which is baked and cooled and then painted all at camp. Your child will come home with a completed work of art. Spaces are limited, register today.
