Even if we’re not near the ocean, we can still bring the beach to us! This fun, hands-on week is inspired by sandy shores, rolling waves, and ocean treasures—no travel required. You’ll create beach-inspired art using a variety of materials as you build sandcastle sculptures, design colorful seashell creations, and explore textures, shapes, and patterns inspired by the sea. Through drawing, painting, building, and crafting, you’ll experiment, play, and imagine what a day at the beach might look and feel like. Each day brings new projects and plenty of time for creativity, storytelling, and imaginative play in a supportive, playful environment. ***This course is ONLY for Grades 3-5*** In our painting classes, you learn how to create and paint a beautiful picture each week using a paintbrush and an easel. Each week, we paint a different picture that is both fun and relaxing. You also learn how to use different paintbrushes and mix various paint colors to create stunning and unique artwork. Budding artists capturing multiple objects tend to begin with the largest or most attractive one first, finish it, and move on to the next. By studying multiple object composition, line and air perspective, as well as color mixing, students learn to depict multiple three-dimensional objects and build a solid foundation for future artistic study. Our academic method of teaching will open the eyes and minds of aspiring artists to see the myriad of colors and tones in everyday objects. With these foundational skills, students will learn techniques to express their creativity. Classes alternate between Drawing and Painting on a weekly basis. All skill levels welcome. Students will learn to draw and paint multiple objects as a group taking into account proportions, depth, structures, along with light and shadows. Using acrylic or oil, students will flex these core principles of composition to attain the freedom to draw and paint three-dimensional still-life, landscapes and fictional paintings. Procuring painting and drawing materials are the responsibility of each student, but we are of course happy to advise which ones we think are best.

Spring means flowers! Join us for this colorful camp where your child will get to design a garden of flowers. This project is made with acrylic paint on canvas. Advanced Art Open Studio Thursdays, 4:30 – 6:30 PM This open studio class is designed for advanced art students who are ready to take creative control. Over several sessions, students will choose their own mediums and develop independent projects with the guidance of an experienced instructor. Whether working in drawing, painting, mixed media, or sculpture, students are encouraged to explore personal themes, experiment with materials, and refine their artistic voice. This is a supportive space for focused, self-directed work and constructive feedback.

Step into a world of color and wonder. Campers will imagine magical lands for their fairies, unicorns, and mermaids, then bring them to life through painting, building, and storytelling. It’s a week filled with creativity, friendship, and plenty of fairy dust. This combination class offers children a sampling of art projects using various media such as painting, clay, watercolors, collage, and pastels. It is amazing what you can create when you explore with your imagination. A variety of materials are used to create your many masterpieces – Many projects are “built upon” each class, so that students experience a variety of mediums and take home several projects. Projects are new every session & seasonal, so sign-up for all sessions.

*Mid-session registration: If you are signing up AFTER THE FIRST DAY OF THIS SERIES OF 8 CLASSES, email info@marvegos.com about a possible project conflict before you arrive for class.* This class is for students who want to focus on painting through two in-depth projects. We’ll explore techniques such as layering, blending, and brushwork, as well as how to plan a composition from start to finish. Each project will give students the chance to experiment with style, build skills, and create original artwork to take home. Because this program is offered on a limited basis, make-up classes are not available. Please be sure your child can commit to the full 9-class series before registering.

Let's have some fun on a no school day! Grab some friends and spend the morning making some amazing art projects with us. In this class, we will focus on snowy owls, as we make an owl painting to hang on the wall and an adorable little baby owl we can sit on a shelf. In between crafts, we will take time out for a story and snack, so be sure to pack something yummy and NUT-FREE!
