New teen students will complete three pre-designed projects with their teacher's guidance to help aid them in learning how to set-up/clean-up supplies and materials, get a feel for what mediums are available, and allow teachers to get a feel for the student's level of skill and art knowledge. What They’ll Learn: Medium Exploration: Gain hands-on experience with a wide range of art forms, including pencil and charcoal drawing, acrylic and watercolor painting, clay sculpture, printmaking, and collage techniques. Project Development: Learn how to conceptualize, plan, and execute your own independent projects. With teacher support, they’ll refine your ideas and bring them to life. Creative Techniques: Develop new skills in various artistic techniques, from layering and texture in mixed media to the technical aspects of ceramics and printmaking. We’re turning down the lights and turning up the GLOW! 💜 Join us for a special edition of Piglets Playgroup, where our studio transforms under the black lights for a morning of glowing sensory play, process art, scooping, pouring, painting and exploring. Little artists and their grown-ups will move through hands-on invitations designed especially for toddlers and preschoolers — think neon paint, glowing sensory bins, bright playdough, colorful messy play and plenty of surprises that come to life under the black lights.

We’ll be exploring pumpkins in all the ways our artists do best — touching, scooping, squishing, rolling, pouring, painting and getting just a little bit messy. The studio will be filled with pumpkin-inspired sensory and process-art invitations, with plenty of opportunities for little ones to explore at their own pace. Expect pumpkin painting, pumpkin guts + seeds, fall sensory play, pumpkin playdough, scooping and pouring, pumpkin stamping, a make-and-take art project and LOTS of pumpkins. 🎃 Dress for a mess! Tuesdays & Thursdays | 4:00–5:30 PM Join us as we explore a variety of artistic mediums, including clay, ink, watercolor, and acrylic painting. Starting off September we will be drawing and learning to use watercolors. Each finished artwork will be professionally matted and ready to frame or give as a gift. Through hands-on projects, students will experiment with color, value, light, texture, composition, and digital painting techniques while discovering new ways to create original artwork. Designed for students ages 9.5–12 who are new to digital art or have little formal class experience, Beginning Digital Art emphasizes creativity, problem-solving, and core digital art skills. Small class sizes provide plenty of personalized instruction and one-on-one support. At the end of the session, students will receive a professionally printed item featuring one of their favorite digital creations. Sign up for each week- we have a new curriculum each week! Kids will enjoy 4 hours of Art and Art related Activities! Day Camp is a drop off program & for ages 4 and older. Each day includes a variety of Cookies & Canvas event, One Day Workshop, OR Pottery Painting & Open Studio time. Most projects will go home same day. (If they have pottery painting that day, they will need to be picked up following week) Kids enjoy stations as well as several art projects during their 4 hours of fun at the Art Studio! Budding artists capturing multiple objects tend to begin with the largest or most attractive one first, finish it, and move on to the next. By studying multiple object composition, line and air perspective, as well as color mixing, students learn to depict multiple three-dimensional objects and build a solid foundation for future artistic study. Our academic method of teaching will open the eyes and minds of aspiring artists to see the myriad of colors and tones in everyday objects. With these foundational skills, students will learn techniques to express their creativity. Classes alternate between Drawing and Painting on a weekly basis. All skill levels welcome. Students will learn to draw and paint multiple objects as a group taking into account proportions, depth, structures, along with light and shadows. Using acrylic or oil, students will flex these core principles of composition to attain the freedom to draw and paint three-dimensional still-life, landscapes and fictional paintings. Procuring painting and drawing materials are the responsibility of each student, but we are of course happy to advise which ones we think are best.

By mastering these foundations, students will progress toward drawing and painting vibrant three dimensional still lifes, portraits, and landscapes using acrylics, oils, and watercolors. Using plaster molds, sculptures, and live models as reference materials, students will have a chance to study traditional and conceptual art techniques. Eventually, students are able to create art from their imagination or recreate them from famous masterpieces that they’re proud to hang up at home.
