Through hands-on lessons, students will learn essential tools, brushes, layers, and digital techniques while creating original artwork and building a strong foundation in digital illustration. Designed for students ages 9.5–12 who are new to digital art or have little formal class experience, Beginning Digital Art emphasizes creativity, problem-solving, and core digital art skills. Small class sizes provide plenty of personalized instruction and one-on-one support. At the end of the session, students will receive a professionally printed item featuring one of their favorite digital creations. Creating YOUR Unique Reflections Project This Year's Theme is "What My Culture Means to Me" The workshop will start with a discussion about the theme followed with brain storming of ideas. However, individual project ideas are kept private. An abundance of mediums and materials are available for creating individual projects. Instructors available for questions and limited help due to the nature of the competition. As is required for the Reflections contest, ALL THE IDEAS AND WORK WILL BE DONE BY THE STUDENTS. Class Description:
This teen art class is designed for teens who are ready to begin exploring their creative potential and how to start developing their own artistic voice. Students will be introduced to, and encouraged to explore, a variety of mediums—including drawing, painting, ceramics, printmaking, mixed media, and collage—while receiving personalized guidance from an experienced instructor. Whether they're interested in building their technical skills or discovering thier own unique style, this class offers the freedom to experiment and create at your own pace. New teen students will complete three pre-designed projects with their teacher's guidance to help aid them in learning how to set-up/clean-up supplies and materials, get a feel for what mediums are available, and allow teachers to get a feel for the student's level of skill and art knowledge. What They’ll Learn: Medium Exploration: Gain hands-on experience with a wide range of art forms, including pencil and charcoal drawing, acrylic and watercolor painting, clay sculpture, printmaking, and collage techniques. Project Development: Learn how to conceptualize, plan, and execute your own independent projects. With teacher support, they’ll refine your ideas and bring them to life. Creative Techniques: Develop new skills in various artistic techniques, from layering and texture in mixed media to the technical aspects of ceramics and printmaking. Join our insanely popular LEGO Robotics program! Students will learn the basics of LEGO Robotics by building, coding, and engineering working robots using LEGO bricks, motors, sensors, and programmable hubs. This is a great introduction to the exciting world of robotics, coding/programming and engineering! Kids will be guided in each step of assembling and programming their robot. Tuesdays & Thursdays | 4:00–5:30 PM Join us as we explore a variety of artistic mediums, including clay, ink, watercolor, and acrylic painting. These fun and engaging classes help children develop creativity, observation skills, problem-solving abilities, and confidence through art. Starting off September we will be drawing and learning to use watercolors. Each finished artwork will be professionally matted and ready to frame or give as a gift. Special handbuilding projects will also included.   Basic surface decoration and glazing techniques are also demonstrated. This class is designed for students any level experience on the potter’s wheel.  Those who have more experience will complete more pieces/ advanced techniques.
