Each week, our littlest Broadway fans and caregivers are introduced to exciting new songs, characters, and stories as Broadway Musicals are brought to life by a team of professional teaching artists. Created by a professional performer turned early childhood development specialist, Broadway & Me's unique curriculum is both entertaining and developmentally appropriate. Each class incorporates activities that are designed to support your little one’s physical, cognitive, social-emotional, and language development. This is an outdoor class from 10:30am-11:15am on Saturdays, located at the Lincoln Common Plaza, 2345 N Lincoln Avenue. RAIN PROTOCOL: In case of inclement weather, class will be canceled via email by 9:00am. In this collaborative, creativity driven class for grades 7–12, students will bring stories to life through the art of puppetry. From the first spark of an idea to final performance, participants will work together to create original stories, design and build puppets, and develop engaging characters. Students will explore storytelling, voice, movement, and basic performance techniques while learning how to communicate clearly and connect with an audience. The class will culminate in a special performance (or performances) for elementary-aged students, giving participants the opportunity to share their creativity and bring joy to a younger audience. This is a perfect class for students who love acting, storytelling, art, or simply creating something meaningful as part of a team. *The tuition includes a $20 supply fee to cover materials.

Cantabile Choir members focus on learning to sing as an ensemble as we prepare music, including songs in foreign languages, to be performed at TCHA’s Choir Concert at the end of the semester (Tuesday, December 1st at 7pm). Cantabile may also perform at the Mall of America during the Christmas season (date TBD). They will sing music from different genres, singing unison, 2-part, and 3-part music. Cantabile is appropriate for boys with unchanged voices.

In Music 2, children will begin to experiment with ways to play musical instruments, accompany a song with rhythm, and act out lyrics through movements using both gross motor and fine motor skills. In this exciting capstone week, students become young innovators as they learn how to clearly and confidently create and pitch an idea to a live panel of key communication members! Students will: - Create their own product or idea (toy? Game? tool? Even pitch their book?) - Learn the fundamentals of PERSUASIVE PITCHING - Learning how to create and structure an ELEVATOR PITCH - Practice explaining ideas clearly, confidently, and engagingly - Learn how to ANSWER QUESTIONS from a panel and think on their feet - Work COLLABORATIVELY to strengthen presentation skills - Build CONFIDENCE presenting to new audiences 🎉 End-of-Week Event: “Pitch and Product” Showcase!
