Ballet Classes in McLean, VA

Pre-ballet classes are introductory dance classes for young children, typically ages 3.5-5, designed to introduce them to the fundamentals of ballet in a fun and engaging way, focusing on basic movements, coordination, and musicality.

Jazz technique is a visually technical style that combines isolations, sharp and fluid movements with specific jazz vocabulary. At JSDA we do not focus on one specific ballet technique such as RAD, Cecchetti, or Vaganova- but incorporate all techniques into class.

This class is a combination of ballet, jazz, and contemporary styles. Lyrical class focuses on applying dance technique to rhythmic and emotional cues found in music. New dance vocabulary such as turns and leaps will also be taught in this class

Ballet 1/2 is designed for those with little to no experience, focusing on foundational techniques, alignment, and basic terminology, often starting with barre work and progressing to center work.

Harmony In Motion is a collaborative dance camp project. Join us in the summer as we give the experience of different dance styles such as jazz, tap, ballet, lyrical, modern, hip hop and acro. While also including arts and crafts! This a great camp for all ages.
