The Art of Stories: A Literary Adventure in the Metropolitan Museum of Art We’re all storytellers, and we live in a world of stories. All our interactive museum tours are inspired by stories, and we’re pleased to present our newest tour, a story…about stories themselves. “The Art of Stories” looks at tales of the Met, backstories of the works of art, narratives set in the museum, and the origin of stories themselves, seen through the perspective of works of art. From myths to fairy tales, fables to epic quests, the tour will transport participants to a cave full of treasure and heroes on daring quests, a sword in a stone and a girl who loses her shoe. We’ll see how stories can take us to other worlds, shift our viewpoint of the world we’re in….and sometimes literally save someone’s life. Recommended for ages 12 and up

This is a leisurely tour of downtown Oklahoma City and the surrounding districts lead by a fun and knowledgeable guide. Our comfortable and easy to ride 3-speed bicycles allow for many interesting view points of the city while learning about art, architecture, and unbelievable history. In the program, we will study all the features of working with epoxy resin and paints. Let's talk about composition, analyze the color combinations and pick up your favorite ranges together, master the techniques, techniques and effects of epoxy painting. Everyone will take their unique work with them (after drying 24 hours) all materials are provided. Good mood and festive atmosphere are guaranteed! We use only use non-toxic epoxy (when used as directed) that is not bad for your health like other resins. No VOCs. No fumes. No solvents. Non-flammable. Non-hazardous. Conforms to ASTM D4236 (Safe for Home Use when used in a well ventilated area). The workshop lasts for about 1 and half hour.

Unlike a traditional art class, there’s no design to copy and no “right” result. You’ll work directly on the surface of water, watching colors move and interact before capturing your design on silk. Every scarf is completely unique and can never be recreated exactly the same way again. The experience takes place in my working Los Angeles artist’s studio and is limited to just four guests, allowing plenty of individual guidance and time to experiment.
