​This drawing class is designed for students of all levels of drawing experience, and would like to learn some advanced techniques and explore new mediums. Students will have the opportunity to explore with charcoal. colored chalk pastels, oil pastels, different graphites and more. Many projects are “built upon” each class, so that students experience a variety of mediums and take home several projects at the end of the session. During our last class, we will meet the last 10-15 minutes of class for an Art Show Presentation. Students will present their pieces in an art show to guests. Parents- Invite grandparents, friends and family. All pieces go home the last day of class. Such a fun way for students to share what they have learned through process and design.

Students will assume the role of a doctor and learn how the body and organs work, how to use medical instruments, and even tie knots like a real surgeon. Each student receives their own stethoscope that really works. Each child receives a diploma as a graduate of Little Medical School at the completion of the course. Day 1: What is in the Doctor’s Bag? 1. Name and define 3 instruments used by doctors 2. Perform parts of a doctor’s exam using the 3 instruments 3. Understand the purpose of each instrument Day 2: All about the Heart! 1. Explain heart facts and how it works 2. Identify the different parts of the heart and know what it looks like 3. Light & Sound Explorers S.T.E.A.M Camp Step into a world of waves, color, and sound at Light & Sound Explorers S.T.E.A.M Camp. Designed for curious minds ages 4.5–11, this hands-on camp blends physics, creativity, and playful engineering through age-appropriate experiments and builds that make invisible ideas visible—and audible.

Hilltop Creative is nestled in Bernal Heights. Our space is aesthetically beautiful and calming for our days together. We are excited to spend the week being creative, building community and long lasting friendships. Hilltop Creative provides an enriching environment for children to explore art, nature, creativity and curiosity. We strive to build community and enrich social relationships. We also believe in the power and beauty of nature. We hold value in the important benefits it brings. Being outdoors brings increased happiness and reduces cortisol levels. We see better sleep, cognitive function and overall well being in ourselves. Here is a bit about our camp days: Drop Off is from 9am-9:30 and pick up is between 2:30-3 pm. During our days together at Hilltop Creative Summer Camp we will start our mornings off with free exploration, morning greetings, snack and an indoor creative activity. We will have outdoor time on neighborhood hikes and also will visit our local playgrounds and recreational areas Bernal Heights, Holly Park and St Mary's. Towards the end of the day we will gather indoors and will have an afternoon snack provided by Hilltop Creative. Our ration is 1:6and we do not go over 12 campers. This camp is for children who are new to being in a classroom setting. Campers will focus on easy STEM and OUTDOOR activities and crafts, learn independence, socialization, sharing/taking turns, and blossom into their own personalities. RESERVATIONS MUST BE MADE AT LEAST 3 HOURS IN ADVANCE as materials must be prepared in advance. There is a $5 fee if you do not cancel your reservation at least 1 hour in advance and do not attend class. Thank you for your understanding. Caregivers will leave the class after the first 15 minutes. If the student is not toilet trained, the caregiver must remain in the lobby for diaper changes. Where they are: Your little learner is ready to start on ABC’s and 123’s. They are showing more interest in talking and figuring out the relationship between letters and language. They are also ready to learn basic counting skills and the relationship that numbers have to objects.
