This combination class offers children a sampling of art projects using various media such as painting, clay, watercolors, collage, and pastels. It is amazing what you can create when you explore with your imagination. A variety of materials are used to create your many masterpieces – Many projects are “built upon” each class, so that students experience a variety of mediums and take home several projects. Projects are new every session, so sign-up for all sessions OR our school program for discounted rate. Drawing Class This drawing class is designed for students of all levels of drawing experience, and would like to learn some advanced techniques and explore new mediums. We are excited to spend the week being creative, building community and making friendships. Drop Off is from 9am-9:30 and pick up is between 3:30-4:00pm. During our days together at Hilltop Creative Summer Camp we will start our mornings off with free exploration, morning greetings, snack and an indoor creative activity. Nature is a huge focus of Hilltop Creative. We will have outdoor time on neighborhood hikes and also will visit our local playgrounds and recreational areas Bernal Heights, Holly Park and St Mary's. Towards the end of the day we will gather indoors and will have an afternoon snack provided by Hilltop Creative.

Fresh air, curiosity, and hands-on exploration come together in Outdoor Discovery Camp, a five-day outdoor experience for children ages 4.5–11. Designed with age-appropriate activities and guided participation, this camp encourages children to explore nature, move their bodies, and learn through real-world experiences beyond the classroom.

Confident Voices start EARLY! We are very excited to bring our “Tiny Talkers!” Workshops to our youngest voices! In this very fun, high-energy workshop, students will learn: - What Public Speaking Means - How to be louder, clearer, and much more interesting in our performance and content. - Get gentle feedback to bring out their best voices! - Learn how to improve confidence with different audiences (friends and adults!) We will play hilarious and fun speaking games and teach them very simple acronyms they can apply to their EVERY day speaking, not just in school!

Enjoy a well-rounded summer at NoVA PlayLabs and avoid the summer brain drain. Our Summer Camps offer a good mix of fun and academics, learning and chill time, and quiet activities and active play. We will spend time outside playing and eating snacks and lunch. Students will be grouped by grade level and rotate among different stations. We maintain a small 1:8 instructor/student ratio in order to give personalized attention to each student. For ages 5-14. Please pack two snacks, a lunch, and a water bottle (water refilling station is available). NO phones or tablets are allowed. School Skills is an independent drop-off program to build literacy, confidence and social skills needed for preschool, kindergarten and beyond. Children will be participating in tactile activities, story time discussions, music and movement, science experiments, constructing art projects and much much more! Purchase the corresponding pass or membership, THEN reserve your child's spot in the desired class(es) to be attended. French Cafe - Week 5 SUMMER CAMP MENU Bienvenue! Lil' Chefs will experience classic French café cuisine by making homemade crepes, beignets, Chicken Cordon Bleu, elegant tarts, and freshly baked baguettes. A delicious introduction to French cooking and baking. (Note: The menu is subject to change based on ingredient availability.) ABOUT SUMMER CAMP: Whether your child likes to bake, create, roast, sauté, fry, or blend, we have a camp for all interests. Our camps are organized into 3 age groups, so all chefs team up with their peers. All chefs will get to taste everything that they cook. All recipes will be sent home for later preparation. A child may also pack up any uneaten tastings to share at home. This is a hands-on cooking camp. So, our Chefs will play games, or let our Tiny Chefs color, or play other food-related games to finish our time. Unless you purchase a 30-minute Pre-Care pass, you may arrive NO MORE THAN 10 minutes early for check-in, and you MUST stay with your child until the start of camp. Also, unless you purchase an After-Care pass, any guardian who is late picking up their child will be charged $50 for every 10-minute increment upon completion of the camp – unless we are notified of the tardiness in advance. Students will step into the role of young detectives, using Spanish to follow clues, describe people and places, and solve a mystery—all while gaining a glimpse into the vibrant culture and life of Mexico. Open to K–5 students of all proficiency levels, the Spanish Club makes learning come alive through fun games, interactive projects, and creative storytelling. As our detectives piece together the clues, they’ll naturally build vocabulary for colors, clothing, physical features, and more. At the end of the session, students will showcase what they’ve learned in a fun presentation revealing their final discovery! Benefits of Joining: --Learn Spanish through interactive, mystery-themed activities --Explore aspects of Mexican culture and traditions --Build confidence in speaking and comprehension --Make new friends and have fun solving a case together Give your child the chance to think like a detective, explore a new culture, and gain the bilingual advantage this Spring! This class may be attended by singletons who are not able to attend classes at their own level as well as siblings of various (or the same) ages. Furthermore, this class will incorporate some Spanish to help develop little brains even more!
