Lil' Chefs will cook and bake classics like cookies, mac & cheese, fluffy pancakes, cupcakes, pizza, burritos, sliders, donuts, crispy French fries - and plenty of surprise favorites. Comfort food heaven, made from scratch! (Note: The menu is subject to change based on ingredient availability.) ABOUT SUMMER CAMP: Whether your child likes to bake, create, roast, sauté, fry, or blend, we have a camp for all interests. Our camps are organized into 3 age groups, so all chefs team up with their peers. All chefs will get to taste everything that they cook. All recipes will be sent home for later preparation. A child may also pack up any uneaten tastings to share at home. This is a hands-on cooking camp. FOR MORE INFORMATION: Visit our FAQ page at https://lilchefschool.com/kids-cooking-summer-camp-faq.html Please view our full list of Summer Camps at https://lilchefschool.com/kids-cooking-summer-camp-schedule-registration.html PLEASE NOTE: **We are a nut-free school and can accommodate ONLY and ALL nut allergies. We cannot accommodate any other allergies and/or food restrictions. If children have gluten or dairy sensitivity, they can participate but cannot taste. ** If a class/camp is not filled, we will combine age groups as we see appropriate and assign a task(s) based on skill level. For our Tiny Chefs ages 4-6, we use time fillers because our little ones get tired of cooking for 3 hours, and/or it is difficult to keep their attention for this long period. So, our Chefs will play games, or let our Tiny Chefs color, or play other food-related games to finish our time. Unless you purchase a 30-minute Pre-Care pass, you may arrive NO MORE THAN 10 minutes early for check-in, and you MUST stay with your child until the start of camp. Also, unless you purchase an After-Care pass, any guardian who is late picking up their child will be charged $50 for every 10-minute increment upon completion of the camp – unless we are notified of the tardiness in advance. Refund Policy Please be advised that summer camp fees are non-refundable, and all sales are final. If advance notice is given, you may transfer it to a different week, if available. A $10 transfer fee will apply.

    Coding academy: Python for beginners

    by Siliconvalley4U

    San Mateo, CA

    A. Course Overview: The Python Programming curriculum is a one-semester course covering topics typically found in introductory computer programming (coding) courses. Other introductory programming courses are not required; students merely need to have typical computer usage skills prior to starting this course. B. Teaching Strategies: The course material is designed to appeal to a variety of students, from traditional learners who thrive on written text to audio-visual students who enjoy a multi-media format. All content is delivered through an online system that allows students to work seamlessly both in the classroom and at home. The main chapters concentrate on Python programming and computer science topics. Certain states may require additional topics ranging from computing ethics and security to career exploration to the impact of computers on modern society. The course contains additional supplemental chapters at the end that can optionally be used to meet common state requirements. Teachers may choose to assign Supplemental Lessons as desired to meet state standards or student interest. The final “Creative Project” is optional and can be completed in small groups C. Course Planner: Some classes may move faster or slower than the suggested pace. The planner assumes students are working daily with approximately 45 to 60 minutes of class time. Drawing + Painting (7-8 years old)

    100%

    by Art Academia

    Foster City, CA

Budding artists capturing multiple objects tend to begin with the largest or most attractive one first, finish it, and move on to the next. By studying multiple object composition, line and air perspective, as well as color mixing, students learn to depict multiple three-dimensional objects and build a solid foundation for future artistic study. Our academic method of teaching will open the eyes and minds of aspiring artists to see the myriad of colors and tones in everyday objects. With these foundational skills, students will learn techniques to express their creativity. Classes alternate between Drawing and Painting on a weekly basis. All skill levels welcome. Students will learn to draw and paint multiple objects as a group taking into account proportions, depth, structures, along with light and shadows. Using acrylic or oil, students will flex these core principles of composition to attain the freedom to draw and paint three-dimensional still-life, landscapes and fictional paintings. Procuring painting and drawing materials are the responsibility of each student, but we are of course happy to advise which ones we think are best.
