Grand Kickoff Camp MENU This is the perfect camp to kick off our cooking summer camp series! This flavorful week is designed for curious Lil' Chefs to explore French, Italian, and Asian cuisines, and to learn how to sauté, simmer, and season like pros. They’ll also practice foundational baking skills while creating sweet desserts and kid‑favorite recipes. It’s a perfect mix of global cooking and hands‑on kitchen confidence. Spanish Class - More adventures come to life through imaginary play in this multi-age play class. A perfect opportunity for siblings to experience class together, or for children to practice more diverse social skills like leadership and peer modeling.

Join us for an imaginative afternoon where little storytellers become authors and illustrators! Children will explore creativity through drawing, storytelling, collage, and bookmaking while creating their very own handmade storybook to take home. Young artists will be encouraged to create images inspired by themes such as days at the pool, beach adventures, holidays, magical places, and more. Teachers will gently guide children through the storytelling process by asking imaginative questions to help inspire characters, settings, and ideas. Children who need extra support with writing will be assisted by teachers as they bring their stories to life through words and pictures. Once complete, each child will collage and decorate their cover before binding their book together with beautiful ribbons. This workshop encourages creativity, confidence, imagination, and self-expression in a warm and supportive environment. By studying multiple object composition, line and air perspective, as well as color mixing, students learn to depict multiple three-dimensional objects and build a solid foundation for future artistic study. Our academic method of teaching will open the eyes and minds of aspiring artists to see the myriad of colors and tones in everyday objects. With these foundational skills, students will learn techniques to express their creativity. Classes alternate between Drawing and Painting on a weekly basis. All skill levels welcome. Students will learn to draw and paint multiple objects as a group taking into account proportions, depth, structures, along with light and shadows. Using acrylic or oil, students will flex these core principles of composition to attain the freedom to draw and paint three-dimensional still-life, landscapes and fictional paintings. Procuring painting and drawing materials are the responsibility of each student, but we are of course happy to advise which ones we think are best.

Join us in the kitchen! This class will teach students healthy homemade versions of their favorite foods. We'll cover breakfast, lunch, snacks, dinner & dessert recipes. Campers will learn: - Basic hands-on cooking skills - Recipe reading/following - Menu Planning - Whole foods nutrition guidelines We will be cooking every day after safety and kitchen orientation are discussed. Students will have a recipe folder to bring home at the end of the week! This camp is for all skill levels but is not recommended for those with food allergies.

In addition we inspire life coaching exercises in financial literacy, fitness and nutrition, faith basics, entrepreneurship and family relationship. Public speaking skills are absolutely ESSENTIAL to academia, future career success, and to simply making friends or standing up for yourself! In this 5 day, 3-hours per day program, we will have a TON of fun covering: - How to best PERFORM in ANY type of public speaking situation! - How to conquer any level of NERVOUSNESS! - How to STRUCTURE any type of speech! - The Fundamentals of Persuasive Speech, Storytelling, and Impromptu Speech! - Intro to Debate Concepts! Students will assume the role of a veterinarian and learn how to perform a tip-to-tail feline exam, living at home with a cat, other feline animals in the cat family, and identify cat body language. Each student will take home their own stuffed animal that they will adopt to their family and tools necessary to take care of them. High School Big Idea Lab Create and Deliver a TED-Style Talk! Rising Grades 9–12 | 1:30–4:30 PM Reston, VA – Highest Speak Center If your high schooler likes sleeping in during the summer, this afternoon camp is perfect! Great communicators don’t just speak well — they share ideas that inspire people to think, act, and lead. In this exciting High School Big Idea Lab, students will develop and deliver their own TED-style talk while learning the key elements that make persuasive and motivational speeches powerful and memorable. High school is when communication skills truly start to matter. Students are expected to present projects, participate in discussions, interview for leadership roles, and soon apply for college and internships. Yet most students are rarely taught how to develop a strong idea and present it in a compelling way. That’s exactly what this program focuses on. Throughout this high-energy 5-day program (3 hours per day) students will brainstorm ideas, write short speeches, and learn how to present them in a clear, engaging, and confident way. Students will learn how to: • Develop a powerful idea worth sharing • Organize and write a talk with clear structure • Use storytelling, persuasion, and motivational speaking techniques • Incorporate elements used in successful persuasive and inspirational speeches • Speak with confidence and presence • Manage nervousness while presenting • Deliver a talk that feels natural, thoughtful, and impactful Students will practice multiple speaking rounds throughout the week, receiving individualized feedback and coaching from instructors. Students will assume the role of a doctor and learn how the body and organs work, how to use medical instruments, and even tie knots like a real surgeon. Each student receives their own stethoscope that really works. Each child receives a diploma as a graduate of Little Medical School at the completion of the course. Day 1: What is in the Doctor’s Bag? 1. Name and define 3 instruments used by doctors 2. Perform parts of a doctor’s exam using the 3 instruments 3.
