We love everyone at The Neighborhood School. I almost didn't enroll our kiddo here because there weren't any reviews for this place so I'm here to write one about this wonderful daycare/preschool in case other parents are like me and really rely on recommendations. My child has been here for about 1 year in the 2-3yo classroom with Ms Isabel and Ms Alyx. Both are adoring, patient, encouraging, communicative, teachers. My kiddo comes home saying "I love Ms Isabel" nearly every day. They truly feel loved and cared for there. One of the students in my child's class is a "biter" and has bit my kid but the staff handled everything with the utmost respect and care to everyone involved. This child and my child are still best friends thanks to the way these situations were dealt with. The school uses an app for checking the kids in/out and communication between the parents and staff, which is super convenient especially with Covid precautions. We have non-traditional values and celebrate non-Protestant holidays and the school has been very accepting and accommodating of this. The kids are engaged in social play, learn emotional regulation, and participate in sensory activities daily. Ms Maureen is the director and she will answer any of your questions (and I've had an abundance of them) in depth and ensure everyone's expectations are met. Ms Ariel is the assistant director and her warm and bubbly personality is enchanting to the children here. My kiddo loves her. We also know one of the 3-4yo teachers and she is wonderful. We have a friend who's son is 4 and attends here and they love the school as well. I have yet to meet a staff member who has been anything but excellent.
