After losing both of my parents, I graduated from MCC in 2012 with my 2nd Associate's degree. Since then, I have:
- worked in offices/urgent care, as a Medical Assistant, until maybe a year ago.
- recent First Aid, CPR/AED certification.
- used the Heimlich maneuver on a toddler.
- trained on how to use the Epi-pen.
I have two children of my own that are mostly self-sufficient (19 & 13) and was afforded the ability to stay home with them for the majority of their childhood. I have learned that being a parent is one of the most challenging jobs there are (and now, most homes have a dual income.)
I feel that I can relate to how difficult it is to balance parenthood with a career (not to mention the multitude of other things needing attention) and I find it rewarding to be an active role in, not just relieving stress for mom and dad, but engaging with the little ones, ensuring their safety and nurturing their curiosities.
