I began my career in nannying while earning my BS in Child Development at MSU. I have worked as a nanny in MA, VA, and Troy, MI. I raised my 3 children as a stay at home mother in Troy, while being active in the PTO, Beaumont Parenting Program and helping friends with short term child care needs. I was a gymnastics coach for 12 years and taught boys age 3-10, as well as provided private lessons for special needs children. I also was the Boys' Program Director and HR Manager, and worked front desk full time. I also interact with children in my role as a Ski Patrol at Pine Knob Ski Resort. I have certification in Outdoor Emergency Care through the National Ski Patrol, and hold current certification in Red Cross CPR. I currently care for a baby with Down Syndrome. I am COVID cautious and fully vaccinated. I enjoy being outdoors in all seasons, I love pets and other animals, and my love of children only enhances my extensive experience in caring for them.

Our little one loves every time Pat comes over! Always lots of songs and learning which keeps our daughter very entertained. Both Pat's educational and work background really make her a great caregiver for kids at all ages and developmental levels. Her love for outdoors is one of our favorite things because it gets our daughter outside to adventure!

We have full time and part time spots available. The full day option is from 8am- 4pm, half day AM (8-12) and half day PM (12-4).

I graduated from Michigan State in 1996 and did my student teaching in the Detroit Public Schools in a 4th/5th grade classroom. My original certificate was for K-8 education with endorsements in math and English. I taught 6th grade in Taylor before moving to rural Alaska to teach middle school for four years. I took a break from teaching when my first child was born and was a stay at home mom for several years. I did childcare in my home for family and friends before working as an Educational Guide at Bowers School Farm. I currently own Bloomfield Pet Care, a pet sitting/ dog walking business and will continue to manage that business while working to help families navigate through the 2020-2021 school year.

Our study group will follow your child's Virtual Academy/ Remote Learning daily schedule. All students will be required to attend any synchronous learning sessions. During the asynchronous times, we will work together to make sure all assignments have been completed and the students can get assistance with any questions. We will have time set aside each day for independent reading, art and exercise. We will also have additional topics of study based on the interests of the students that we can further study when other required assignments are complete. Parents must provide us with your child's schedule and required assignments if they are not easily accessible or known by the student. If your child's teacher emails specific assignments to you, please make sure that your child is aware of the assignment or forward directly to me.
