Hello, my name is Derek! I am a positive and energetic person who loves to laugh and live life to the fullest. I am originally from Seattle, WA but moved to CA to pursue my acting career. This May I graduated from The Boston Conservatory with my BFA in Musical Theatre. On top of being a performer I am also a very proud Uncle. Being an Uncle is the greatest blessing in my life and has allowed me to perfect my babysitting skills over the years. My niece and nephew love me mostly for my expertise in coloring, baking, cooking, and teaching them all about the arts. As a babysitter your children's safety and their fun will always be my top priority! I have taught Musical Theater classes to children for years and have also worked with many children with special needs. I pride myself on being an example of good character, having genuine care for others, and seeing the world through a positive lens. I am currently available for Full-Time and Part Time positions in the Los Angeles area.

Watching Derek care for my grandson I could easily see he's a natural with kids! He's a wonderful blend of fun playfulness with attention to being careful and responsible. I would trust him anytime, anywhere with kids of any age. He's a respectful young man who brings all his many qualities to his time with kids. Trustworthy, responsible, respectful, with lots of love and fun is a great way to describe Derek!

At Valentina's Preschool, we offer a secure place for children to play and learn with other children. We value diversity, and we welcome children regardless of race, gender or religion. We believe that children learn through active exploration and play, and that self - esteem is built on mutual respect between us all -adults and children. We structure our program to be responsive to the needs of each child. Their activities are problem - centered and often require sustained social, physical, and mental participation.
Our children will gain knowledge in language arts, science, geography, Spanish language, visual arts, gardening and cooking; music, yoga and gymnastics are also parts of our curriculum.
Our goal is to create a tight community between children, parents and school, where children will come to learn, find a friend, and feel like this is a second home for them.

My daughter used to attend preschool at Valentina's. It's been six months since she's been at her new school but she still talks about how much she loved going to Valentina's and how much she missed it there. Valentina and her staff are so friendly with both the kids and their families. Anyone would be likely to have their kids attend her preschool.
