About who needs care: Recently diagnosed with Alzheimers
Loves flowers, animals, hanging out with me (her grand daughter)
Usually awake at5-6 a.m. gets ready for the day on her own brushed teeth, gets clothed.
Needs assistance getting into shower and reminded to soap up really good.
Needs to try to be independent so she doesn't lose the ability to do her daily routine on her own. Just needs a couple reminders here and there.
I pick her up every day but it would be nice to have some one there early to get her started and maybe down the road when she progresses we may need more hours.
Lives on her own, alone pretty much from 5 p.m. to about 8 a.m. right now. Would love to get someone in to help get her going and socialized with and interactions in the morning to clear her brain and remind her the day and time and her plans for the day.
About the care needs: Someone who is social. Preferably someone who isnt super young we have had and issue with young caregivers and phone usage. I would like someone who can engage with her and socialize with her while she is watching her programs or reading the newspaper.
Would like for her to find a hobby it is hard for her to read now days, would love to come up with something she enjoys to keep her occupied.
Im trying out puzzles and picture bucks, she has a bird feeder out back she loves to watch.
