I need a companion care provider experience for my mother in her 80s. She is very independent - she cooks for herself, bathes and dressesherself, and is very mobile.
What she needs is the following:
1. She needs help with housework: this includes cleaning the bathrooms at least once a week, mopping the floors, light vaccuuming, making the bed, cleaning the dishes and the kitchen area. Some caregivers don't like to do this but its difficult for her and something she needs
2. She needs transportation to and from doctor's appointments, the grocery store, etc. So you need to have a car and be willing to drive
3. She needs a companion who will engage her even if there isn't enough to do in #1 and 2 - talk to her, take her for a light walk, take her for a drive. Someone who cares.
