The Drop Zone Drop-in Child Care Center

The Drop Zone Drop-In Child Care Center is Charles County's ONLY drop-in exclusive child care center! At The Drop Zone, we offer drop-in care 7 days a week. Parents benefit from our great service because it is available when YOU need it. No appointments or reservations necessary. Registration is free and once a child is on file, they can be dropped off at anytime.

The Drop Zone is a licensed child care center and is required to follow all of the regulations put in place by the State of Maryland's Office of Child Care.

For children to be dropped off at The Drop Zone, they must be AT LEAST 2 years old (this is a State Regulation). They are allowed in the center for up to 4 hours. At drop off, parents pay a one hour deposit and the balance is paid at pick up.

Cost saving bundles are available for families who would like pre-pay for hours. Once bundles are purchased, staff keeps track of hours used. It makes the drop-off process so much easier!!

While children are in our care, they will enjoy 30 minutes of supervised open play, and 30 minutes of structured activities. There are no set meal times, but if a child brings food, they will eat during one of the open play times. Children are allowed to bring their own food, or we can provide food. The Drop Zone is a NUT FREE facility!

Using The Drop Zone for whatever your needs are is truly a very simple concept and could be a lifesaver in an emergency situation--whether it's a canceled sitter at the last minute or a family crisis--sometimes you just don't have time to figure out "who can watch the kids."
