Serendipity Child Care & Preschool

Hi! My name is Dasha (with a long 'a'). I am a SAHM with two children of my own, a daughter age 8 and a son age 4. I am so excited to announce the opening of "Serendipity" on August 12th. "Serendipity" is a home based preschool program I will be offeringfor children ages 12 months thru 5.5 years. Actual preschool will be offered Monday thru Friday 8:30 until 3:30. Before and after care is also available. My home is located in the beautiful Burkitt Place subdivision right off Nolensville Rd (1 mi. passed Concord Rd.). Our home is smoke free however we do have a dog. She will be kept in a separate area of our home while children are present. I am CPR certified as well as have completed far too many hours of RN courses to have changed my major before graduating. Courses included: <br/> <br/>Early Childhood Development <br/>The Family <br/>Pediatric Nursing including a semester working in a NICU <br/>Psychiatric Pediatric Nursing <br/>Obstetrics & Gynecology Nursing <br/>Nutrition <br/> <br/>Having changed my major (my parents are still angry), I am nine hours from completing a BS in Liberal Arts from Belmont. My emphasis is in creative writing and the process of writing. I have published non-fiction essays, poetry, short stories, as well as chapters from a novel I am currently finishing. The creative writing process and children are my passion. Therefore reading, writing and using our imaginations to arrive at solutions to problems will be emphasized in every subject we tackle at "Serendipity." <br/> <br/>The curriculum and activities offered at "Serendipity" will be based on both traditional and Montessori methods of reaching children and their educational needs. Children will experience a wide array of subjects to choose from throughout the day including, math, science, social studies, practical living, reading/comprehension as well as writing. There will also be a huge emphasis on the arts utilizing different media. Projects will focus on group learning as well as offering time for individual one-on-one development. <br/> <br/>Tuition for "Serendipity" is as follows: <br/> Preschool Only Before and After <br/>Monday thru Friday $155.00 $180 <br/>Four days $140 $164 <br/>Three days $115 $140 <br/>Two days $87 $112 <br/>Quarterly supply fee will be $50.00 (to cover cost of milk and workbooks) <br/>Deposit will be one week's tuition. <br/>A sibling discount is offered to families with more than one child needing care. <br/> <br/>Children will need to bring a packed lunch daily. Due to the different likes and dislikes of children as well as allergies, packed lunches seem to work better.
