The San Marino Recreation Department offers a complete system of recreation and community services for residents and visitors of all ages. Services provided by the department include preschool, kindergarten care, day care, educational enrichment programs,sports, competitive swim team, art, dance, teen activities, adult basketball leagues, and senior citizens trips. In addition, the department provides seasonal programming such as summer day camps, swimming and sports camps. The city's special events include Snow Day, City-Wide Track Meet, Easter Egg Hunt, Fishing Derby, Memorial Day Services, 4th of July Celebration, Howl'oween Dog Parade, Mayor's Thanksgiving Breakfast, and Christmas Tree Lighting.
