I visited in October 2016. We were welcomed by both providers who were warm, friendly and took time to explain the details and took us on a tour. We were impressed by the artistic environment and especially by the children who obviously loved their caretakers and who were open and friendly to us and our daughter. The whole environment is shiny clean, examples of art and personal expression of the children on the walls, backyard large, inviting and well maintained: also chickens, ducks, and vegetable garden,. Solar panels on the roof and cotton diapers were impressive too as we are looking for a green environment for our daughter, rate 5 stars.

I visited Oak Trees East in July, 2016. I was aware of the divergent posts on Care.com and thought I would see for myself. I found it to be a welcoming, clean, safe, and creative appearing home daycare. Both providers were present and took time to make me feel welcome by walking me thru the facility and answering my questions. The children present were happy and active and appeared to LOVE the providers. I saw no cats (they said there are none in the home) two friendly and beautiful Golden Retreivers were there and appeared to be relaxed and fine with the kids. I can't believe someone posted that this facility was dirty. The hardwood floors are gleaming, the furnishings are appropriate and clean, the whole environment radiates an artistic flair. I contacted 3 current families and received GLOWING reviews. I am on a wait list for enrollment in December.

My child has been enrolled here for 2 years. We love it! It is a safe, caring, creative environment with 2 full time providers. The household is environmentally green, with solar panels and cotton diapers sent to a diaper service. Susanne and Nicole are well educated and experienced.

My experience at Oak Trees, where my child has been a participant for 2 years, has been superlative. The other review says the site is dirty, and I have never found this to be true. It is clean, sunny, and cheerful. Are we talking about the same site?? There is one cat who seems to stay upstairs. There are two friendly Golden Retrievers who mostly stay outside. The children love them! The TWO providers are wonderful, friendly and very capable. A typical day includes Circle time. music, lots of art, singing, manipulative. Montessori type play toys, outside play in a spacious, safe and clean yard. where there is an enclosed chicken coop. Eggs are routinely given to enrolled families. I rate this daycare 5 star!!

I visited this day care last year when looking for a spot for my son (then 15 months old). I am so happy that I found another daycare and did not have to put my son at Oak Trees. I was quite shocked at the appalling conditions - and I visited early in the day when things should've been their cleanest. The floor of the home was absolutely filthy. The bottoms of my feet were black by the time I left. The owner has cats (and dogs) and I recall the cats being on everything. The poor children I saw were lying on the floor in a BRIGHT solarium where they were supposed to be trying to nap. I never saw any assistant there - I question whether there really is one there full-time. I would never place my child in such a dirty environment. NOT recommended, even for temporary or emergency care.
