Ms. Stephanie's Lil' Learners

Hello, my name is Stephanie. I am passionate about teaching and caring for children. For the past 10 years I taught English in Wake County Public Schools, and recently decided to begin an in-home day care. I love children of all ages! My experiencesare quite varied; I have cared for newborns, potty trained toddlers, tutored first graders in reading and taught teenagers literature. I am a mother to two sweet boys, a three-year-old and an 8-month-old. My child care goal is to nurture a child's curiosity and energy. It is important for a child to learn and have fun playing games, reading books, and singing songs. Balance is necessary, structured play such as arts and crafts provides an opportunity to learn social skills and free play inside or outside develops independence.
