I have been in the baby business for 25 years. Most recently I have created a very unique in home environment for your newborn that will support your transition back to work and provide them with the specific, detailed and special care that will exactly meet their needs for those early weeks and months. Some children stay in my care for a few weeks- until they are big enough, strong enough or healthy enough for a larger daycare setting (or if they are awaiting a spot). Other children stay longer and continue in my care up until about two years old. Each situation is unique. Each family is unique. However, life is full of change and from time to time I have a spot come open and I interview with families to fill it right away. So, it might happen that I have room now. I don't accept just anyone- as I would hope you wouldn't leave your baby with just anyone. The magic is in the match! My Bachelor's Degree is in Child Development, I have many additional certifications and I have 25 years work experience directly with children and families. From the NICU, Pediatrics, Social Services, Universities, Elementary School, Homes and Child Care Centers, CPS, Parents As Teachers, and many other settings. I stay current on SIDS, early intervention,First Aid, CPR, AAP and best practice for newborn care. I am specially trained in building attachment, baby massage, baby signs, building language, sleep, eating, playing, tummy time, routines (schedules) are key to helping babies learn and trust their environment and that is huge for me. I always worked part-time and stayed home part-time with my children. I feel strongly that you learn from both experiences. I am in my mid 40's and am married with six kids.
