About Me:
I'm Heather, wife to Angel, and mother to 3 children ages 6, 4 & 1. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in International Studies. I have also taken 12 credit hours in Early Childhood Education. Thosecourses covered child guidance, an introduction to early childhood development, playground safety and child nutrition. I am CPR & First Aid certified and have worked in a 5 Star childcare center as an infant teacher. I absolutely love young children. Watching them learn and experience new things brings my heart such joy I can't describe. I'm honored that you would consider leaving your child in my hands! Our family is able to welcome two more children ages 0-5 or K-2 for full-time daycare or after school care serving. We homeschool and will be attending a co-op one afternoon per week and your child is welcome to join in the fun learning art and music! We regularly visit libraries, museums and parks as well. We are located on N Scientific St near Jamestown. We have a big backyard with swing set, and toys for all ages. We are pet and smoke free, save for our large fish tank with cichlids. Your child will spend lovely afternoons exploring outside, getting messy and having fun. Philosophy: I believe that we as caregivers are to be the "guide by the side" as infants, toddlers and preschoolers are discovering how the world works. I provide safety, direction, and tender loving concern. I will expose them to as much as I can, in a fun, warm environment, preparing their minds for later schooling and beyond. I consider myself an attached parent, as I employ peaceful methods of discipline and do not allow young infants to cry. I baby-wear, use cloth diapers and am fully supportive of breastfeeding moms.
