Hello! My name is Alicia Hall. I have been working in the childcare industry continuously for 11 years, and have worked in several 5 star centers providing care to infant-school age children. I am currently 2 semesters away from completing my Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, and I am certified and credentialed for care. I have completed Its-SIDS training, infant/child CPR and First Aid, as well various other trainings. Beginning on May 11th, I will be providing second shift care to children in my home. I am offering care to infants through 12 years of age, with only 5 spots available. The hours will be from 6:30am until 6:30pm, Monday-Friday. Extended hours may be available upon request. The care I provide will be unique, loving, and of the highest quality. I will offer learning experiences daily, weekly trips to the swimming pool in the summer, frequent trips to our neighborhood park, and more. I will have the children on a routine schedule daily as well. THIS WILL NOT BE A "SIT AND WATCH TV ALL DAY" experience! I believe in exploration, curiosity, and learning through play. I will provide a snack upon arrival, an FDA approved lunch, and an afternoon snack. In my home, each child will be treated as a unique individual with much to offer, and will receive plenty of one-on-one attention. We are located on N Scientific St near Jamestown. We have a big backyard with swing set, and toys for all ages. We are pet and smoke free, save for our large fish tank with cichlids. Your child will spend lovely afternoons exploring outside, getting messy and having fun. Philosophy: I believe that we as caregivers are to be the &quot;guide by the side&quot; as infants, toddlers and preschoolers are discovering how the world works. I provide safety, direction, and tender loving concern. I will expose them to as much as I can, in a fun, warm environment, preparing their minds for later schooling and beyond. I consider myself an attached parent, as I employ peaceful methods of discipline and do not allow young infants to cry. I baby-wear, use cloth diapers and am fully supportive of breastfeeding moms.
