Colleen Mclaughlin

I opened my daycare home in February, 2016. I provide a safe, fun and friendly home environment for your child. I live in the home where I was raised with 9 siblings and where I raised my son. I have loved being around children my whole life. Besidescaring for her own children, my mother did daycare for over 35 years. As we got older, we helped with our younger siblings and the daycare children. As an adult, I was her paid assistant from 1982-1985 until I started my first daycare home. I have been a volunteer at St. Peter's Church teaching Religious Education to 2nd Graders. I was a den mother for several years. I have numerous nieces and nephews. I had worked outside the home at the same company for the last 21 years but left to pursue my passion of taking care of children full-time, helping them learn through play. I believe children learn through every day activities and do not need to be in a structured school setting. That being said, I will be doing story and reading time, music, arts and crafts, games, outdoor play and other learning activities as time allows. I have a large yard and parks nearby.
