I am an infant, toddler and preschool OCCS certified teacher and director 1 and 2 lead teacher qualified. I am a licensed in-home day care provider in Salem. I have much experience in working with children in day care including play to learn preschoolwhere I was a preschool teacher in a Learning Center where I was an infant/toddler teacher and a Children's Center. I have held nanny positions and have been enrolling children in my licensed in home day care since 2006 when I got my state license. I majored in Early Childhood Education with a college degree and always apply my knowledge base of child growth and development in daily experiences with the children. I am also certified in First Aid, pediatric First Aid and CPR, all updated according to my state's rules and regulations for operating an in-home facility. I am also a mother of a 6-year-old boy and 3 year-old little girl. <br/><br/>When operating my in-home day care, I use the highest standards of affordable quality care by implementing a developmentally-appropriate curriculum and providing children with rich, stimulating activities which foster all areas of development physical, emotional, social, language, and cognitive. Each week in my day care a new thematic approach to learning is enhanced where children can make connections with themes they can relate to and use in real life, play is their vehicle for learning and a refection of their development, and a balance between structure, active and quiet activities are provided. Uses of learning centers is incorporated in my program to help children develop abilities and competence through all the domains physical, emotional, cognitive, social, and language for example book area, manipulative area, art area, and cooking. Parents can feel confident in leaving children in my care to meet your child's needs for health, happiness, and safety. I am a mother as well and know the anxiety that goes along with having to find a child care provider to look after your little one besides yourself or close family.
