It takes a village to raise a child; I hope to be a part of yours! I have over two decades of child care experience, from babysitting to summer camp counselor to parenthood. (I also received my bachelor's degree in Theatre/performance from TowsonUniversity, in 2002.) I have three children of my own, ages eleven years old, eight years old and three years old, respectively. I am experienced in dealing with asthma (my seven year old was diagnosed before his first birthday) and various food allergies (my two year old is allergic to wheat, eggs and peanuts!). I take great pleasure in reading to and with my children, and teaching them the basics of formal education, as well as encouraging their creativity and independence. My home is clean, organized and well-stocked with games and activities for young children. Our family pet, a Golden Retriever, is as gentle as they come. In addition to being Red Cross certified in CPR, AED use and first aid, I have two years of experience as a lactation peer counselor for the Anne Arundel County Health Department's WIC nutrition program. I received extensive training from a certified IBCLC in the safe handling and proper storage of breast milk.
